We've vacationed in HHI, specifically Port Royal Plantation for about 8 years now and this was our first visit to Island Links. 8/28-9/4. We LOVED this resort. It was relaxing and peaceful for the adults with the landscape and amenities and then fully enjoyable for the kids with fantastic pools and activities available. (and I was tickled to be able to get my frozen adult beverages at the "sandbar" tiki bar set up poolside!) The units were very clean and spacious. Although the beach was a long walk/bike ride/short drive to the end of the road, we didn't care or mind at all (and we're used to beachfront). They offer a free shuttle and beach access is available through Westin. We could use Westin's outside pools and fitness center. During the week we could also park in the Westin lot to access to access the beach. On Thurs-Sun, we could either use the shuttle or we just opted to drive over to Islanders Beach parking lot/access and use the metered spaces there. We own a global discovery vacation club membership and this was the least expensive MOST enjoyable vacation we've had since our honeymoon.

Island links is amazing! It is a great family vacation spot. The customer service of the front desk was wonderful. The pool is great for kids. It has a zero depth entry, with mushrooms and other various water things that shoot up in the air. The pool is big and there is a second pool by the bar. In the club house, they have a ton of activities for kids. There is no reason for a child to be bored on this trip.

The condo's themselves were amazing. We stayed in a two bedroom condo and had nothing to complain about. We are truly happy with our stay and would come back again any time!

We had a great vacation while staying at Island Links. The accommodations are spacious and well kept, with many creature comforts. Grills are available outside for bbqing. The pool area was large with separate pools for kids and adults. No pool towels available, so remember your beach towels. Easy availability to Westin's beach access by taking shuttle. Worst part of vacation was people in rooms above ours that were excessively loud. The front desk did attempt to remedy with little compliance from other guests. Overall a great vacation, although I would recommend a top floor and also that you don't go in the heat of the summer. It averaged 105 degrees every day we were there!

This is a time share resort which we traded into through RCI. I went there with my spouse and two teenagers. We loved Island Links and our visit to the Hilton Head/Savannah area. We had a three bedroom, two bath unit which was extremely spacious, well maintained and modern. My only complaint was that the third bedroom was made by dividing the master bedroom in two by closing large French doors (surprisingly soundproof). Nice, usable balconies. The grounds are lovely, and include a pond with turtles and alligators, a great free form pool, gas grills, shuffleboard and horseshoes. There were food and drinks for sale during the day by the pool. The activites at the resort were spotty; not all of the scheduled activites occurred. Access to the beach is via the Westin Hotel, by shuttle bus, though we used our bikes. You could walk it in about 15 minutes. The staff was friendly, though the office closed by 6 or 7 every day, which I found inconvenient once or twice. The workout room isn't much, but you can use the Westin's, and theirs is phenomenal. Hilton Head is great, even for those of us who don't golf. Nice beaches. Renting bikes is important: you can ride them everywhere and should. Savannah is only 40 minutes away and we stopped there to sightsee (ghost tour!) and to eat and shop.

We upgraded our time share home resort to Island Links two years ago. This was the first year we stayed there though and we enjoyed it. We had a 3 bedroom unit that easily slept the 4 adults and 5 kids in our family. The pools could have been cleaned more often (flies, pine needles, flowers, etc.) but that didn't stop the kids from having fun. The quickest thing that could ruin a vacation week for me is if our unit had roaches-but I didn't see one bug of any kind in or around our unit. I read the other reviews and was expecting that we would be dealing with the scary palmetto bugs like we usually do when we are staying in Hilton Head. I was so relieved to not even see one bug this past week! Even in the public areas like Shelter Cove and Coligny Plaza. The unit was clean and spacious and the balcony was a nice little space to enjoy a morning cofee or escape from the kids for a moment ;). Overall, a very relaxing place to stay. I hope it is like this when we return.

Room Tip: We stayed in building 12 on the third floor (#354) and it was a close walk to the pools and game roo...

Island Links Resort was a delightful surprise for us. We had three very comfortable bedrooms and two baths. The rooms were very clean. It was a condo style apartment and was very well decorated. We only ate breakfast in the condo but it was nice to have a small dishwasher available. There were three swimming pools which were very well used by the families. The resort is about a mile from the Westin beach and a small van picks up and returns guests eight times a day. The air conditioning in our unit was a blessing upon returning from the beach or other excursions during the hot and humid summer days.

We stayed at Island Links during the July 4th holiday week. The pool is amazing! Very nice kids play area.....loved the coverage the umbrella provided the kids on the far end of the pool. Resort had fun daily activities for the kids in the Clubhouse.....arts & crafts and a hot dog cookout in the afternoon pool-side. We stayed in a 3 bedroom 3 bath unit which accomodated 3 small families perfectly (no more than 2 kids per mom and dad). Our condo was clean and ready for us upon arrival. Linens smelled fresh and any issues we had (a lighting fixture) were addressed immediately. The only downfall was the water pressure.....that was lacking big time for taking a shower. But, it comes with staying in a large condo community.

Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay on our trip to HHI. Provided us with everything we needed!
