Was very excited about this restaurant after a suggestion from our resort. That was turned into disappointment by the end of the night. We booked our reservation to coincide with the sunset. It was beautiful and the location was the perfect setting to take in the views, but there was no heated outdoor seating. So we had to enjoy the view from inside which was not bad, but not ideal. As far as the food goes we were utterly disappointed. We had a party of 11 and majority of the table was not happy with their food. The worst being the $30+ grouper that was not only a sad tiny portion, it was completely overcooked. The waitress told us that she would get a manager over to try and rectify the situation which never happened. The waitress never asked if my sister would like a new serving or even to try something else to replace the fish. Her meal was comped but she left hungry and was never give the chance to better her experience. The foods that really missed the mark for the table were the shrimp nachos and the surf and turf flatbread. Not everything was bad. The she crab was good, the creamed collards were great as well as the pimento cheese grits. The fresh oysters were very good and were the star of the night. We really wanted to like this restaurant but it just seemed to lack some of the basic necessities of a quality restaurant. First impression is everything and hopefully we just caught them on a bad day. Too bad, with the prices of their meals and the selection of other restaurants in the area we will not be back to get a second impression.

I wanted to thank Skull Creek Dockside for making our group luncheon a wonderful afternoon!
The food all came as ordered, and was very good. Our servers, Kevin and Miriam, were terrific- pleasant, efficient, and a pleasure to work with..
Please consider going there for a group event or regular dining...
Thanks again!!

I ordered the seafood tagliatelle and received a sea food linguine with a sauce so spicy that it overpowered the flavor of the seafood, and I grew up a few miles from the Mexican border. They also cooked the squid to a nice rubber band like texture.

The restaurant was busy, so I assume others enjoyed their food more than I did but I was totally underwhelmed by the food. The service was adequate but only adequate and nothing justified the prices.

This is our second visit and is consistently awesome. We have had the mussels, deviled eggs, meatballs, she crab, scallops, ribs, flatbread.....a must stop seafood restaurant. Our son and his friends hang out here often. I really don’t care to try any other seafood on the island.
