We spent the week of July 4th here and really enjoyed ourselves. This resort has just reopened as the Sonesta in May and it truly is beautiful......the food here is amazing! We ate at the pool bar many times and also in the evening a casual dinner of items ordered from the lobby bar and sat outside on the patio. Lobster Mac & Cheese; Calamari; Caesar salad; fish tacos; grilled chicken flatbread sandwich - all AMAZING!!!!
We do wish they would have had more to do there to truly be a resort, especially on Independence Day - a all american BBQ would have been nice in the evening. Maybe some exercise classes on the beach or even in the pavilion.
The downside of our visit was our check-in process (yes our first encounter with the staff) - he truly didn't seem to know how the process is done. He ran our credit card for "incidentals" and said it was rejected.....after multiple tries we contacted the credit card company to find out there was nothing wrong on their end. Turned out the clerk was looking at the wrong code! But I must say other than that our stay here was wonderful!!!More
