Captain Jeff and first mate Mike took our family of four (girls ages 6 and 4) out for some morning shark fishing (and bonus dolphin watching) a week ago. We had a great time. The trip was very family friendly. I highly recommend it. Thanks TA for the recommendation.

Our family of four (14 yr. old son, 21 yr. old daughter) took off on the Gullah Gal this past Friday. What a blast! We spent the morning catching a dozen or more fish (mostly sharks, and even a stingray) and learning lots about salt water fishing, the boat (really clean and comfortable!) and Hilton Head. Living in Colorado, ocean fishing (ocean ANYTHING, for that matter) is a unique experience for us so we took away lots of great memories. Captain Jeff and First Mate Ben were wonderful, so helpful and patient! They ensured that we all had a great time!!

We look forward to sailing on the Gullah Gal again on our next visit to Hilton Head!

Capt. Jeff took us to calm water on a rough day. The sharks were biting the whole time we were on the water. This was a great first time charter fishing experience with a captain and mate who are knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommended

Do yourself a favor and book this trip. Captain Jeff and Mike are very professional and will bend over backwards to make sure you have an exciting trip. We saw many of the other charter boats on our trip and I can tell you the Gullah Gal is the nicest boat you can get. We booked a 10 hour trip which gave us the opportunity to go 23-24 miles off the coast to a shipwreck to fish for large sharks, Cobia and King Mackerel. We were successful in all 3. 3 tiger sharkes (8-10 footers). 1 Cobia that we kept and 1 king mackerel that we kept. Make sure you get enough time to get out away from the coast so you can fish for these big fish. I'll never forget it - it was quite an adventure.

My wife and I just took a 6 hour charter on the Gullah Gal on 5/21/10. Our first time salt water fishing and it was an excellent experience. Capt Jeff and First Mate Mike were very easy to work with, providing plenty of advice and made the trip very enjoyable. Lots of action and topped off with a 13' tiger shark in the 1000-1200# range. Without the assistance of Mike and Capt Jeff, we would have never got it to the boat....Not to mention the Cobia Capt Jeff enjoyed for dinner. Thanks again, D & D from IL.
