“very average...”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

Good course layout but conditioning was a little disappointing, very hard fairways and greens were fast but bumpy. It was an ok value relative to others on HHI but would probably not return if other courses had available times.

“Deterioating conditions...”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

Have played this course many times and I love the layout. The conditions are not up to what they used to be. Cart paths in horrible shape due to tree roots. Fairways and tees could be in better shape as well. Also..pace of play was terrible. Could not finish the round due to length of time. Love the course but c'mon guys...spruce it up a bit! Show some pride!

“Great Value”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

The course was in great shape. The layout is interesting with different challenges presented throughout. Sand, water, trees, and doglegs abound and all test the player's game. But it is a fair course so that makes it enjoyable. January was off season so we played in less than four hours.

“Decent track, don't get hung up on the stock photo's of the ocean”
Reviewed December 22, 2012

It's a nice track, and they keep the property pretty well maintained. But you'll see photos of the ocean backing a hole. That's what you get on one or two holes. The rest of the course is interesting, and there's some challenging holes. Money reasonably well spent.

“Five hours (again)”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

My wife and I gave Oyster Reef another chance. We played there in April this year. Although the course was immaculate and the greens were fantastic, it took a little over five hours to play. We gave it one more try in late November. Same disappointing result. The ranger said there wasn't anything he could do. Course was fantastic but with all the bunkers, especially surrounding many greens, the course just plays slow.
Other than that, course is great. Please are congenial and helpful. Super pro shop, decent restaurant.
We usually play in three hours if no one is ahead of us so five plus hours is agony.
