“Enjoyable and natural trails”

We loved this area. Plenty of trails to hike on and the lakes were great to fish in. A real natural feel and very limited development.

“The Best!”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

Beautiful bike paths, homes, nature all around. The bike paths are very flat so riding is easy. There are so many places to go, South Beach, Harbour Town, Lawton Stables, Nature Preserve. At South Beach you can go out on the beach and many times see the dolphins. It's a lovely area and so much fun.

“Peaceful Nature Experience”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

A very relaxing walk through lovely pines and palmettos. Had up close and personal views of several alligators yet able to keep a safe distance. Lake Joe would be a lovely place for a family picnic and fishing. Water fowl and turtles also viewable. Indian shell ring was interesting and informative. Nice to have something you can do for free. After your walk it is only a short drive to Harbor Town to view the lighthouse.

“Bring Bug Spray!!!”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

Great views and a really charming place to take a stroll through the woods. Be warned our first attempt was foiled by the Hilton Head Island first bird of prey.... mosquitoes. Indian Shell ring is a must see and Lake Mary is such a quiet peaceful place.

“Nature at its best”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

We spent a cloudy Tuesday hiking through the preserve. We had an enjoyable afternoon. The Indian shell ring was interesting and the signage was informative. We observed several birds and squirrels but no alligators!
