Sea Pines is a beautiful place to visit, especially on foot or by bicycle. There's an abundance of wildlife (birds, deer and even an alligator or two). A map offers guidance through the winding preserve and it's a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

“If you like nature”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

Great uncrowded preserve combining marshes, forests, lakes with abundance of water birds and osprey, alligators. It also has a beautiful and colorful flower field full of poppies, cornflowers, baby-blue-eyes. You can walk or bike. Be prepared to spend 2-4 hours.

“Amazing Place”

What a treasure. It takes you away from the tourist areas and is so very relaxing. The flowers were gorgeous and we got to see two bald eagles.

Walk early; and go in spring before it gets buggy. Gorgeous. Such lovely trees! Trail rides available from a nearby farm, also.

“Unexpected and Beautiful”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

Stopped-off on the way to Harbour Town, didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised by the scenery, peace and tranquility and the alligators!

Took a drive around the dirt roads in the morning, stopping at the lakes to watch the Gators (one of which caught a bird for lunch whilst we were watching) and took- in the wildflower meadow.

Decided to return on our way back and walked the rice field boardwalk and across the vanishing swamp, looping back to our vehicle - a easy walk through the forest, about 45 minute loop in total.

Excellent and relaxing way to spend a few hours.
