Referred to this restaurant by another local due to county rules of no alcohol served on Sunday's. So glad they did. The service was great and the food was even better! Large portions for a great price. Don't let the appearance of the outside of the building fool you....... The stop was well worth it and we would stop again!!!

Don't let the outside put you off. This is absolutely the best meal off of i-95 for miles in either direction. The staff is friendly, attentive and helpful, and the food is real. The salsa is fresh, with real tomatoes and chunks of onion and cilantro. The enchiladas suizas come to the table piping hot, with tender chicken, bright tomatillo sauce and slices of perfectly ripe avocado. Soft chicken tacos to die for. Kudos. Coldest beer in South Carolina. How do they get the mugs so frosty?

We ate here late on a Sunday night after driving all day. The staff was very friendly, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was that of a local family owned restuarant. We like finding unique local restuarants when traveling. You can get the chain restuarant atmosphere at home.

I normally shy away from ethnic foods in smaller communities. However, I would definitely recommend Mi Tierrita to any road warrior looking for a fix for Mexican food. They have a decent lunch buffet, but I would stick with their menu items. The restaurant itself isn't all that much to look at, but the service is always good and the food is quite fresh. A neat find!

Found this local, unassuming spot while staying ovenight in Hardeeville. The panzon burrito was the size of a small truck and was a very tasty burrito for less than $8. The plato grande for $6.50 was a good variety of Mexican specialties. A nice, friendly place to eat.
