My son has just started at Lander University so I decided to help him settle in (and bag a few days in the sun!) and come along with him. There are a few choices of hotel in Greenwood aside from the chains, but Days Inn seemed the best price and most conveniently placed. I wasn't disappointed on either count.
I paid $59 per night for a clean, well furnished room with two double beds for son and I before he moved into his dorm. There was plenty of space for us to move about and the bathroom was clean and roomy.
The guy on the front desk was efficiently friendly but the maid was exceptionally friendly. Apart from doing a great job, she always had a smile and a cheery word for me. Well done Barbara!
The only complaint I would have is that it wasn't that easy to find and we drove around for a bit trying to locate it. It is tucked behind a Japanese restaurant and a Dairy Queen on Bypass 72 or first turning left off Montague Street coming from 72 (no street signs!).
This being, it was in a very quiet part of town, no traffic noise and yet it was very conveniently placed for the local restaurants.
Maybe a pool would be the only enhancement it needs to be truly great value for the money.
