We sat outside and it was lovely. Our waiter Joe was the BEST!
The food expensive but worth every bite. If you want something

“Delightful lunch”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

We traveled down the mountains from Asheville to attend the Fine Arts Festival in Greenville and looked online for a attractive lunch spot. Larkin's was a perfect find for us. The location next to the Peace Center and overlooking the river, with public parking nearby, is convenient and easy to find. The ambiance is upscale and comfortable, with patio seating outside. The service by our waiter Bill was friendly and attentive. The food was just exceptional. The menu had many items that caught our eye, including ample seafood choices as is our preference. The chef's specialty of she crab soup was melt in your mouth, rich and chocked full of crab. The peppered salmon was perfectly prepared and so yummy! We can't wait for a return visit.

“Great for brunch”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

I am gluten intolerant and the waitstaff was very knowledgeable and most helpful. I had gluten free shee crab soup, as well as gluten free bread pudding. All the food was excellent.

“Perfect Steaks Everytime!”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

Larkin's is where my husband and I treat ourselves every few months. We love this place! We have been many times but the most recent visit was last weekend (April 27). It is a high end (aka expensive) restaurant but it is soooooooooo worth the money. The steaks are to die for! Tender, juicy, always cooked perfectly! i usually add the au poirve sauce (a brandy and peppercorn sauce) to top my steak and it is delicious!! I've also had the lobster which is great. They have a large selection of sides that are big enough for two to share! We always get the gouda mashed potatoes and the four cheese macaroni.

It's nice to sit outside during the spring/summer and overlook the river. Or sometimes there is a band playing at the stage/amphitheater next to the restaurant. It's in downtown Greenville, so it's convenient to have dinner there and then see a show at the Peace Center.

The service is awesome. The servers know everything about the menu and are so helpful and polite. But they do something very sneaky to get you to buy dessert... they have a little Ipad-type screen they sit on your table and it plays a slide show of all the wonderful looking desserts!! It's a genius way to upsell on desserts b/c it is so hard to resist!!

We have never had a bad experience. I highly recommend this place!!

“Location, location, location!”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

Great atmosphere and the perfect location! Falls Park and the Reedy River are all a stones throw away and during the summer, entertainment is just outside the door. We have eaten here three times and always enjoyed our meals. This time, my husbands bone in rib eye was undercooked. He ordered it cooked med but it came a little rare. Along with it, he ordered a stuffed baked potato. The server took the steak back and had it cooked a little longer but by the time it was brought back, I had finished my steak and his potato was cold. It spoiled the mood of the meal but they were very gracious and after our meal the manager came to the table and apologized and took the bottle of wine off of our bill for the inconvenience, which was a very first class thing to do. These things do happen and they addressed it and we left very satisfied!
