Three of us ate lunch here and we all enjoyed our choices. We sampled the French onion soup which was terrific & the she-crab soup which was creamy and full of crab was so delicious. Our entrees included the salmon BLT, shrimp & grits, & the Larkin Monte Cristo. There was so much food we left with a take-home box. The famous Parmesan, truffle oil French fries were quite tasty as well. Our server Brian was friendly & helpful. We departed downtown with smiles and full stomachs.

My husband and I selected Larkin's on the River for our pre-theater meal prior to seeing Sister Act at the Peace Center. The location is pretty much adjacent to the venue right on the Reedy River in downtown Greenville. Complimentary valet parking is available but we chose to park in our usual spot off Main Street and walk the block to the restaurant. We were a little early for our reservations but we sat at the bar and were seated within five minutes at our booth. The meal was fantastic. I highly recommend the shrimp and grits...just as good or even better than any I've had in Charleston. Our server went above and beyond what we usually get even in a higher scale restaurant. She made sure everything was perfect and she kept track of the time so we wouldn't be late for our show. The manager was on hand and circulated throughout the dining area to make sure everything was running smoothly and that all customers were happy. The price is a little high but not so much for a restaurant of this caliber. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it for any couple looking for a romantic evening.

The staff at Larkin's did not disappoint us at all. The service was wonderful and the food was excellent. All of us in my party tried different dishes and each plate came out well presented and cooked exactly as ordered. It was a great experience.

We attended a large private dinner party of perhaps 75 people. The service was wonderful:prompt, efficient, and exceedingly polite. The food is what sets this restaurant apart from others. Everything, from appetizers to main courses - filet mignon and a shrimp stuffed fish - to dessert, was delectable. Although the service wasn't speedy, no one was bothered. How the staff managed to serve all that food, cooked to perfection and at a perfect temperature, is a mystery to me. My husband and I can't wait to go back for another outstanding dining experience!

Completely ruined our anniversary. The salmon was gross. The steak was the only thing that came out correctly. The service was horrible. We will not be going back! If you want excellent food, service, and atmosphere go to chophouse 47.
