We sometimes stop by Silver Bay on White Horse Road and pick up a to go on our way from NC to home in SC. But this last trip is most likely our last. We ordered steak and shrimp with sweet baked potato and a salad and we requested all condiments. I asked when we picked it up, is there honey butter in here. Yes she said. Only to find out no honey butter, no cocktail, no tartar, no toppings for the sweet pototato and no dressing for the salad. Now we won't drive back 15 miles for those things but some thing we just didn't have at home so the food was not so good. So if you want a mediocre steak and a less than appetizing meal I say pass it by and go somewhere that the help just doesn't lie. I wonder if management tells them to leave it off to save a buck. Well they have lost many of our bucks!

Heavily breaded fish and shrimp combined with the worst cocktail sauce on the planet puts this restaurant on my list of least favorites in Easley. The broiled fish is ok, but nothing tastes fresh. Too bad, because Easley needs a good seafood restaurant. Get the smaller portions meal if you go here. They do give you large helpings.

Whenever my wife and I are in the Greenville area, we make sure that we plan on eating at least one and often several meals at one of the Silver Bay Seafood Restaurants in the area. Our favorite--there are three in all--is located on White Horse Road (US 25) just a few miles from Furman University's campus. It is always crowded with local residents who seem to realize how good and, generally, how reasonably priced the food is. Though the Silver Bay serves a wide array of foods, their seafood is always excellent--we never tire of our favorite, fried clams--and the service exceptionally pleasant and thoughtful.

The Silver Bay is undeniably a family-friendly place. There are many far more elegant restuarants in downtown Greenville if one is seeking, first and foremost, ambiance but if good food at a reasonable price is more important, then one ought to make a beeline, as we do, to try this nice establishment.
