We were not enjoying any of the 'high rated' restaurants in Greenville so we just decided to try this place when walking by based on the fact it serves southern food and looked creative. It paid off - our lunch was fantastic! The fried catfish and crab cake mains were lovely, as were the corn bread, chili soup and an exceptional Caesar salad. The coleslaw was the only thing that wasn't fully impressive. The atmosphere was good and the server was friendly and charming - 5/5 for lunch.
Since we had been having a rough time with Greenville restaurants we went back for dinner, which unfortunately was not the same level. Our server was different (and indifferent) disappearing for long periods of the night. The food (different meals of course) tasted like it had been a few hours previously prepared for lunch, and the extra portions of the dinner meals (two sides instead of one) were unnecessary food and expense since southern food is already very filling. However highly recommend the spinach casserole and pecan pie! Not the fillet mignon, potato salad or the grilled vegetables though. Only 3/5 for dinner overall.
