It was our first dining experience at Travinia's a few nights ago. The restaurant has been located off Woodruff Road for several years, but we'd been unaware of it until recently. We were there on a Saturday evening without a reservation, but we were seated immediately. Our server told us it was his first day working there, but we'd never have guessed as he was helpful, fast, and accurate taking our order, serving, getting refills on drinks, etc. The food was ok -- not the best but not bad either. Portions were large. Atmosphere was good although we were seated near a large group of diners and were able to hear their conversations, so there is not a lot of privacy. The menu is large and has interesting selections that are not typically found in other Italian restaurants. We will return eventually to try out some of the unique items. Travinia's will not be our first choice for Greenville Italian, however, as the Upstate has many fine Italian dining establishments.

Food was OK, certainly not the best Italian I've eaten in Greenville. Atmosphere is GREAT for a date!! Service was very good. Prices are a little high for the food....spaghetti was $12 ??? Really ???? for spaghetti???

Had lunch at Travinia's today. Ordered a variety of different foods. The spinach salad was fresh and both the fried goat cheese and dressing were good. The chicken marsala was a little bland. The chicken had pieces of fat and tendon running through it and the pasta was underdone and didnt want to wrap around the fork. The chicken parmesan quality was lacking to say the least. The eggplant parmesan was full of breading and not very good. Portion size have shrunk drastically. We miss the bread they used to give you. It's just not an italian meal without bread! I could always count on them for a good and consistent lunch but - not so much anymore............

Seems very intimate and close. Food is VERY good. I've never eaten here where I've had bad food. Service seems to vary greatly, but the food is consistently good.

As we walked through the door, we were greeted with a smile and "thank you for coming" attitude. Was very impressed with the service and food was very good. The tables could be little larger. With 4 people, hard to get everything on it and still not feel cramped. i would return.
