Eating inside this restaurant is nice. The food is reliably good and reasonably priced. Their curries are all delicious and the noodle dishes are great too. We have been disappointed both times we've gotten carry out from there, though. The amount of food seems to be about half of what we get when we eat in.

We eat here at least a few times a month and have done so for about 5 years. There is no denying...the service is "so so" at best. Don't expect anyone to roll out a red carpet or be overly friendly. What you can expect however, is consistently hot, good food. The curry, 3/4 kings rice and spring rolls are some of my favorites. If you are looking for a place to take friends for a good meal and drinks or a new place, away from downtown, for a simple date night, I recommend this place.

Husband and I are moving to the area (Paris Mountain), shopping around for restaurants in the area. We are lovers of Thai food, and were terribly disappointed by Thaicoon Restaurant. It was a pretty nice atmosphere in a weird location (but close to our new home), we had heard mixed reviews, and were in the mood for some good Thai food. Unfortunately, after each having some terrible soup we decided not to ruin the rest of the meal so we had dinner at McDonald's (it was 9:30PM when we left the restaurant). So much for a romantic, spicy date night! The situation would have been better had the server or manager at least acknowledged that we did not like our soup since we each ate about 3 bites and left the rest. We are both restaurant people and hate to complain, so we just wasted $15 and will never be back.

You don't expect a Thai restaurant in a retail strip center next to a supermarket to be a first class experience but Thaicoon is that and more. You enter and the decor is clean, crisp and soothing. A very artistic and appealing inerior in fact. And then there's the food. That's the best surp;rise of all. We started with Thaicoon Shrimp, shrimp; in a pastry with a tangy sweet/sour sauce and calamari. Both were great though the calimari was a bit overly done. Then, followed with soft shell crab with a very interesting sauce and catfish, fried crispy golden also with an intersting sauce. The service was very amiable, and the owner even came by our table to make certain everything was okay. We'll devinately go back. I think it's one of Greenville's many delightful discoveries.
