Hands down the best place to eat. From the moment you get greeted by a friendly and attentive staff to the time you leave you get the full experrience of a wonderful night out. First off, the food is special. We started with calamari, lightly breaded and tender with s subtle sauce, Seared scallops full of flavor and definityly cooked perfectly, no rubber pucks here. The crab soup was delicate. All went well with the Jordon Chardonay. Main course steak all around for us, fillet, dry aged kansas city stip and a dry aged delmonico. All cooked to perfection ( medium rare perfectly pink on the inside and seared out). I would encourage readers to try the fois gras on thier steak..WOW. The side dishes really are for the table, the potatoes gratin easily serves 3 if not 4. the asparagus is grilled and seasoned and again serves 3-4 people. The only slight down side was dessert, the cake seemed to be store bought ( i.e cold) rather than made on premises, although the bread pudding was an enjoyable dish,
The staff went out of thier way to make you feel like you were thier only patrons. Attentive but not overpowering. Good wine selection and diverse bar choices.
Just a perfect place

The atmosphere here was great, a lot of people and really great music. The service was the best I've seen at any restaurant, our drinks stayed full and we were waited on hand and foot. The food was superb, the steak was really tender and juicy and the grouper was moist with a suttle crisp. Would recommend to couples looking for a nice night out. They even had a French chef across the street that made mouth watering desserts, once you try you'll see why :)

We visited Rick Erwin's for the first time recently and were very pleased with the service, quality of the food and ambience of the restaurant. Greenville has exceptional dining offerings and Rick Erwin's stands out as part of the top tier. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu, didn't hesitate to make both food and wine suggestions and checked in with us regularly. The staff was unobtrusive yet water was replenished, bread appeared instantly and dishes cleared without notice. We each had specials and they were flavorful, cooked and served at the right temperature and prompted us "to order that again."

Others have said it has the best steaks in town and that it is expensive but good. The steaks are very good, and we do not consider it expensive compared to steak houses in Atlanta.

We have dined there several times, most recently on New Year’s Eve, and have always found the food and service to be first class. The sides are adequate for sharing - We typically order three for four people. The salads are large and fresh. The wine list is comprehensive and reasonably priced.

The main room can be a little loud, but we have asked for a table in the back near the wine cellar and it has been fine for two couples to carry on a conversation. They also have a “dining room” in the center which is even quieter.

We visit friends in Greenville several times each year and Rick Erwins is always on our list of dinner venues.
