Description: What constitutes "New South Flavors?" For us, it is begins with reverence for those time-honored Southern dishes. Served up by wonderful home cooks for years. We respect the freshness, the flavors and the food itself. But we like to jazz it up a little, add something deliciously unexpected to delight your palate. Our interpretation of traditional Southern fare is creative, inventive and satisfyingly scrumptious. Cheers to New South Flavor!

Visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy, but the paging device provided freedom during the wait. Seated near the entry in a booth, a bit of a breeze kept it a bit chilly. We ordered the Venerated veggie bowl and it was good, especially the okra. The mint iced tea was very sweet and the biscuits and jam were delicious. Overall good experience at what, sadly, has become a chain restaurant.

Tupelo Honey Cafe was packed on a Saturday afternoon which was my first indicator that this was a great restaurant. We shopped around the area with a buzzer while we waited, and it was well worth the wait!
We started with the Mega-Mosa (a ginormous mimosa) and a huge platter of fried okra. Seriously, it was so good I couldn't stop eating!
I had the Fried Chicken and Biscuits. The biscuits, which they also serve gratis when they bring drinks, are out of this world. Served warm and with honey, the biscuits are the best I've ever eaten. The chicken and biscuits with milk gravy was one of the very best dishes I have ever enjoyed in my life.
My daughter ordered a sweet potato pancake that she loved. She also had a non-alcoholic drink made with blueberries, pineapples, apple cider, strawberries and lime. It was outrageously delicious!
Make sure you visit this wonderful restaurant in downtown Greenville. It is not to be misses.

Tupelo Honey is a great choice for a downtown eatery. The food is fresh - southern with a continental flavor. The service is good. Biscuits and honey are excellent. We had a group of six and everyone enjoyed what they had.

The wait can be long but you can shop at the shops downtown while waiting as long as you don't wander to far.

We had 6 adults and 2 kids in our group, for lunch on Sunday, We were able to make reservations because we had 8 people. We all enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. We had the vegetable melt sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich, fried chicken and some of the breakfast options. Broad menu that offers a number of vegetarian options. They were very accommodating for the 2 kids who had grilled cheese and BBQ. There are many sides you can get with the sandwiches including some healthy options. The biscuits and blueberry jam to start the meal were devoured by all. The prices are reasonable. I would recommend this new restaurant and we plan to go again soon!

Good biscuits and honey, and they are complimentary, so that's a plus. Was our second visit - first visit we had the sweet potato pancakes which were great - so wanted another try. This time got a veggie plate and soup and grilled cheese. All was ok but nothing stood out. I think there must be better options downtown.
