“Boo in the Zoo, total rip off”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2010

We waited in line for 45 min. They wouldn't let the kids take their own bags in. They provided a bag. The person in front of us forgot to get a bag for their toddler in the stroller and asked for one. They wanted to charge them an additional $5. (yeah, for a plastic bag). Most of the animals where blocked off and they were selling T's and Sweatshirts, but for adults. Who does that? Is it not for kids? We came out of there with 12 itmes all together. Yep, paid $8 for 12 items.

“Small but Good”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2010

LIked this zoo. It has enough big and little animals to be interesting. The organgutans have a baby who came up and looked right at us. The lions were nearby and some of the small monkeys - like the mustachioed Emperor Tamarind - were adorable. It's nice that you can see the whole thing in two hours or so. Only regret is that it started to rain hard and the kids couldn't play much on the great looking playground right outside the zoo gates.

“Fun zoo lots to see”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2010

We decided to visit this zoo on a weekday afternoon. It was a very nice afternoon spent with my husband and baby. There were a surprising amount of animals that I didnt expect for the very low admission price. Elephants, giraffes, lions, red pandas, monkeys, alligators and a reptile house.
Also not only are there several play areas inside the zoo itself but there is also a large playground right outside.

“We love this zoo!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2009

It is inexpensive and a no hassle experience. Parking is close and free. You can buy crackers to feed the animals at the front gate. It is fun for all ages. There is a very nice park right by the zoo so bring your lunch and spend the whole day there!

“Perfect for very young children”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2009

We visited the Greenville Zoo with our children, ages 2 and 4. The animals were easy to see and appeared well cared for. There is a great play station for toddlers next to the giraffes. There is also a petting zoo. You can buy crackers to feed some of the animals at the admission booth. My children really enjoyed this zoo because you can see the animals easily and they have all of the typical zoo species that would interest kids. It is small, so you can make the whole round just over an hour. Much better than the big zoos where my children tire before we see all of the animals. Also, the zoo is located inside a city park with a wonderful playground- part of which is shaded.
