Although my son's wedding was held at a different venue, I booked my son and his wedding guests at the Poinsett. The service was wonderful! The newly-weds received champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries with their suite, and I was able to have family members receive breakfast vouchers upon check-in. Somers Maky was a joy to work with. I was planning from 500 miles away, and she made it all a breeze. She was extremely flexibile and professional. Every question was answered, and every concern was attended to. Thank you for making a stressful event less so, by taking care of every detail, so I didn't have to worry. The location is wonderful in the heart of downtown historic Greenville. Once you park, you never have to move your car. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

I recently took 16 Culinary Students for a field trip to the Westin Poinsett Greenville Hotel. The Management and Staff at the hotel made this a true learning experience for the students. Chef Curtis Wolfe allowed the students to tour the kitchen and he discussed a normal day as a Chef in a hotel. He also prepared mini pizzas for the students.
Fabian Unterzaucher (GM) welcomed the students and addressed the group with information on the duties and responsibilities of a GM.
Stephen Enright (F&B) discussed the joys and challenges of managing Food and Beverage.
John Geddes (Dir. Sales and Marketing) discussed the importance of marketing strategies.
Janice Smith (Concierge) shared information concerning her duties as a Concierge and how rewarding the position can be.
I know how busy each day can be at the Westin Poinsett and the special treatment given to us during our field trip was so much appreciated. It was the perfect example of "Going Above and Beyond".

Remember all the delicious food you have ever eaten at Thanksgiving and go one step higher! That is the buffet served at the Poinsett for the holiday. Now fast forward to the daily breakfast buffet with every imaginable morning treat you can imagine. Hot cakes, custom omelets, smoked salmon, freshly baked pastries, bacon, sausage, ham, grits, potatoes and more round out the choices at the Poinsett.
Beginning your day with this marvelous meal sets you up for a day at the Greenville Museum, where Andrew Wyeth is featured.Greenville offers a free museum experience with a wonderful selection of art and sculpture plus a charming gift shop.
My husband and I are on the other side of seventy so a walk down Main Street and a return to an afternoon coffee in the Poinsett Lounge plus the complimentary newspaper rounds out our day until dinner. We return to the lounge for wonderful service, a light meal with delightful live piano music.

I would highly recommend this venue for hosting a wedding or any event. The staff was tremendous, helpful, attentive. They left no detail out. We could not have asked for a better place to host my daughter's wedding. The food was amazing. Our out of town guests were impressed with everything and certainly enjoyed being able to walk everywhere they needed to go. We wanted for nothing. Thank you very much to everyone involved. A special thank you to Kelly! She is a wonderful person to work with.

Room Tip: We were all on the 4th and 5th floors and they were just perfect.

What a fun place to stay. We grew up in Greenville but no longer live there, so spending the weekend at the Westin had fun memories for us. And downtown Greenville is full of great food and shopping, all in walking distance.
Janice Smith was very helpful with information and restaurants. She was very personable, sharing stories with us. When she found out it was my sisters birthday, she had fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate sent to our room. What a treat.

Within walking distance of quaint shops, eclectic restaurants, and an outstanding cultura, attraction, the Peace Center, the Westin Poinsett makes moments to remember and relish. There is wonderful, gourmet dining in the downstairs dining room, the cocktail area, and in your beautifully, comfortably furnished room. Courteous, personable staff greet you, provide valet parking, and help you with any needs or expectations. On the week-end, there is a piano bar, skillfully played by Eric, concierge services for outings, and capable hotel staff manning the desk, such as Daniel. Our recent stay was truly enjoyable and requiring a return visit.
