“Outstanding Restaurant in a city filled with great eateries”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2011

Nose Dive is located on the south end of Main Street, attached to the Poinsett Hotel. The restaurant suits just about everyone: casual or chic, bar or family. The menu is a brand new concept: the best dish from a variety of cuisines from Vietnamese to Italian. Excellent price for the food we received. Service was fabulous. Extensive bar menu with multiple unique beers and wine. We will definitely return. Reservations are a must on the weekend.

“Excellent Dining Experience”

Nine friends had lunch at this hip and trendy restaurant. The food was outstanding. The chef really knows how to prepare amazing dishes. When in Greenville, this is a top choice!!!

“Delightfully Fresh and Satisfying”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2011

If you enjoy fresh food, you will enjoy Nose Dive. It may not be the best food in Greenville, but considering the price point, you cannot go wrong here. Try the veggie burger, it is out of this world with flavor! Also, I love how you can get a salad on the side instead of fries for no extra cost. Their salad dressings are absolutely divine. It can be a bit crowded, so make sure you have a reservation, or plan on waiting. I would stay away from their broiled fish taco (maybe it's better if it's battered, not sure). Overall, for the price, you can't beat the taste and freshness of the food (i.e. not out of the freezer). I also like the gastropub atmosphere without the typical bar/greasy food.

“Great food, great menu, bad spelling”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2011

I knew I had to go to the Nose Dive when a friend mentioned the bacon brownie. So when I was visiting Greenville my parents and I went with my baby son, and the food (including the brownie) was great! We loved the clean, casual atmosphere, right down to the signed Red Sox jersey over the bar.

The trio of fries was a must for us, because french fries are a passion of mine. Frying in duck fat makes all the difference, as does the house-made truffle aioli. Our entrees were good, especially the croque monsieur and the Scotch egg. The fish tacos weren't so great, although the salsa made up for the bland fish. Three local craft beers accompanied everything beautifully.

For dessert, the candied bacon brownie was heavenly. It has candied bacon baked into the batter, and is served hot with delicious ice cream on top. The smoky bacon and the sweet ice cream compliment the chocolate brownie perfectly - heaven!

My only complaint from the whole evening is that the specials board had several misspellings, and when I pointed them out, the host's response was "I didn't write them today! It was the manager!" They were never fixed in the 90 minutes we were there, even though it's just a simple eraseable marker board. That's a pretty minor issue for such a great pub.

“Table 301 Quality takes a "Nose Dive"”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2011

Nose Dive is the latest entry from Table 301 and is located in what use to be Restaurant "O". Nose Dive is a "Gastropub" with a bar menu, full bar and occasionally music. The food quality was not up to the standards of Soby's, The Lazy Goat or Deverauxs, understanding quite well that the aforementioned trio are restaurants and not "Gastropubs" We had the crab pretzel appetizer which was very good. I had the corn beef sandwich and my wife had the nose dive chicken sandwich. However both the corn beef and the chicken sandwich were fair. Chef Rodney needs to re-evaluate his corn beef sandwich. The corn beef was stringy and an very small amount of corned beef for the money. We love the other 301 trio and we will probably go back to "Nose Dive" but not anytime soon.
