This place was great and we will definitely go back. It is laid back enough for the kids, cheap enough to eat at regularly, but oh so good. The french onion soup was a little overpowering. The scotch egg is a much get (egg wrapped with sausage) and the lobster roll is delish. I had the mushroom and duck risotto which was great! I can't wait to go back.

Rude manager, overly crowded, nothing special about the atmosphere or food, restrooms in hotel lobby next door.

We passed this place many times and i always wanted to try it, so once on Friday night we went there for dinner. The girl on the reception gave us better table near the window, but told us we need to hurry because this tables is reserved for later. we would be happy to hurry but waitress came to see us in about 20 minutes. Service was very slow, even though the place still was not that crowded. We saw our waitress several times just sitting and talking to somebody.
Food was horrible too. it was really not tasty. everything we ordered was very dry and tasteless. I´ve visited several vine bars with excellent food before, but this one is not among them for sure. never again!!

Tables weren't readily available, so we agreed to eat upstairs at the bar. Decor was trendy and a bit close quartered but not intimidating. We noticed T-shirts with "where everyone nose your name", but there was no initiative on there part to even ask ours. It wasn't until we pointed this out to the bartender as a laugh that he asked what our names were. Then we noticed that the bartender did greet certain people as they came up to the bar, so maybe you have to be a regular first... Anyway, the menu was simple but all appealing. Recommend the Nose Dive items. The Krispy Kreme creme brulee was interesting, because it came with two chocolate chip cookies stuck in it. And if you like the taste of lightness and melting sweetness of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, this dessert did not reflect that. It was quite heavy and filling for creme brulee.

Great food, great service, we really enjoyed the Nose Dive. The prices are very good for the atmosphere...there aren't many other restaurants downtown Greenville that offer a "nicer" atmosphere without paying $30/plate.
I ordered the lobster roll and at $16 it was the most expensive item on the menu. It was very good, but I should have known better than to order something like that in Greenville. It was about half the size of the rolls you actually get in Maine. Everyone else in my party had very generous portion sizes.
