Description: You wouldn't believe you weren't sitting near the ocean in New England. Located in the heart of downtown Greenville, across from the Peace Center for Performing Arts, everything about Nantucket inspires a feeling of deep satisfaction. Picture rich walnut-stained wood, elegant yet warm lighting, natural earth-tone colors, and the delicate mingling of fine wine, laughter and conversation. Nantucket is that rare destination that is at once relaxing and entertaining...Intimate and open...Romantic and engaging. Long, panoramic windows extend alongside the inviting bar and dining area to afford views of the Village Green and the courtyard patio, complete with a towering, artfully crafted, lighted stone waterfall.

From the greeting until the last bite of dessert this restaurant doesn't disappoint. I have been there many times from a romantic dinner for two to a larger gathering with family and friends to a business dinner. Each time has been spot-on with excellent service and a fantastic variety of seafood offerings! Their steaks are pretty fine too….

The seafood was some of the freshest and best prepared we have had anywhere. The crab cakes were wonderful, fresh and mostly lump crab. Served with an excellent remoulade sauce, but we didn't use much of it. The crab was so good alone. My dear wife opted for creamed spinach as her veg. Wow. Who knew creamed spinach could be a stand out!

My black grouper was perfectly seasoned and lightly grilled on a potato gratin. Excellent. Simply excellent.

The server, Derek, hit the right note of help, information and absence. We were never hurried, but found him magically present at all the right times to pour more wine or introduce the entree or dessert.

So glad we went. Worth the price for us. Not cheap, but worth every dollar.

We took my parents here for their 60th wedding anniversary. Food, Service, Atmosphere were outstanding. Our table of 7 enjoyed the Tower of Seafood appetizer the most. Fresh oysters, claims, mussels, crab legs, lobster tails, shrimp - yummy! 2 of us had Crab cakes and they were outstanding. Tuna was delicious as was the she-crab soup and the New England clam chowder. Even the bread was delicious and hot out of the oven. The only negative was my son ordered the pasta with seafood dish, and the tomato-based sauce had a bit too strong flavor (couldn't figure out what was in the sauce). However, the dish came with huge sea scallops and shrimp. Otherwise a very nice and enjoyable experience.

Waited over an hour for a table with reservations for a birthday celebration!! Never got an apology or table and finally left. Manager and hostesses used the excuses of prom and Peace Center performance. I have eaten here before and the food was good but never will again. We heard other people complaining about their slow service. (If you can't handle a busy night, don't take reservations!)

I've eaten at busy restaurants in NYC before Broadway plays and restaurants all over the world, yet I've never received this poor of service. Over an hour wait, with reservations, is ridiculous. An apology versus excuses would've been appreciated.

Food was absolutely great! I had the surf and turf which was a 7 oz filet, cooked absolutely perfect, and a broiled lobster tail. Just incredible. My wife is still on the shrimp and grits kick. She gets this from Charleston to Greenville. She said it was the best yet. View was great and service was even better. Thanks Gary! Will definitely go again...
