We have eaten at Giatu a number of times and have always been pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. Although its located in the Marriott, the chef is excellent and the ambiance is very quiet. They have a selection of both small plates and entree size selection. I particularly like the braised short ribs small plate. I would have it with a cup of soup of the day and the Giatu salad. The only time we were surprised was by the ambiance. Normally the lighting is subdued, but this time the lights were on bright. We commented to the hostess that it was very bright and she said that the lights had probably not been turned down from lunch, and then did nothing about it. I guess she was more interested in speaking with the other employees. Will we go back? Yes, its a very nice restaurant and we will normally eat there twice a month. But if the lights are up, as ZZ Top says "get yourself some cheap sunglasses.
