Description: The Lazy Goat is a Mediterranean-themed restaurant with a menu featuring global influences from Spain, Morocco, Italy, France, Greece, Africa and the Middle East and a relaxed atmosphere where taking the time to "linger and share" is encouraged. The diverse menu was created to accommodate a variety of diner preferences with meat & cheese plates, small plates to “graze and nibble,” and main dishes. Guests are invited to take their time while "trying a little bit of that and a little bit of that" or a "whole lot of whatever they like".

I was not impressed with menu and quality of food. Service was very prompt and waiter was pleasant and helpful, but just did not suit my taste or most in our party.

We went here on a Saturday night, the day after Valentines Day. It was busy and noisy. Our server seemed rushed and it wasn't always easy to hear him due to the background noise. The portions were small, and the menu was not extensive. It was our most expensive meal in Greenville, and my husband left hungry. Not quite the romantic meal we were hoping for. HOWEVER, we hope to return to Greenville in the summer, and we may give them a second chance, as they have a lovely outdoor seating area that overlooks the water.

We went there to try the highly recommended fried goat cheese balls but they were not available for lunch. Luckily we tried the fabulous chilpolte fries. We ate in the lower diningroom with a large glass windows overlooking a nice view of the river. In the warmer months it would be lovely to sit on the Terrace. Wine list was good, service was good and some dishes were outstanding. I would definitely return and recommend when visiting Greenville.

Just a few notes...

1) The location and view of the river is outstanding. Outside dining will be incredible in warmer months.

2) The food (Moroccan Lamb and Even Lazier Paella) was incredible. The menu encourages sharing and a group of good friends will make this a "go to" location for sure.

3) The wait staff was very helpful with suggestions for first time diners. Worth every penny of their tip.

4) Make a reservation! You will not get in without one unless you are very lucky.
