Description: The Lazy Goat is a Mediterranean-themed restaurant with a menu featuring global influences from Spain, Morocco, Italy, France, Greece, Africa and the Middle East and a relaxed atmosphere where taking the time to "linger and share" is encouraged. The diverse menu was created to accommodate a variety of diner preferences with meat & cheese plates, small plates to “graze and nibble,” and main dishes. Guests are invited to take their time while "trying a little bit of that and a little bit of that" or a "whole lot of whatever they like".

“Love the shared items!”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

Just a few notes...

1) The location and view of the river is outstanding. Outside dining will be incredible in warmer months.

2) The food (Moroccan Lamb and Even Lazier Paella) was incredible. The menu encourages sharing and a group of good friends will make this a "go to" location for sure.

3) The wait staff was very helpful with suggestions for first time diners. Worth every penny of their tip.

4) Make a reservation! You will not get in without one unless you are very lucky.

“EXCELLENT!”
Reviewed February 21, 2014 via mobile

'Upper' scale but not pretentious atmosphere, great service. We shared an entree and salad and, along with an appetizer, it was Just the perfect amount. $50 for that and 2 glasses of wine. We'll be back in warmer weather to try the patio.

“When in Downtown”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

When I'm in downtown Greenville I often choose the Goat (3 times in the past 6 months). It has a some unique selections, good tastes, and is reasonably priced compared to several of the other choices nearby. I suggest trying the fried goat cheese and if you are a fan of tut brown beers (like Newcastle) then give the Lazy Goat private label beer a try.

“Nice view; limited lunch menu”
Reviewed February 7, 2014

Very nice atmosphere, with big windows overlooking the Reedy river and riverwalk. Lunch menu was surprisingly limited - you're sort of out of luck unless you like hummus, olives and feta. But food was good and service was attentive.
