“Soloa and happy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2013

I ate at the bar alone this past weekend as my family was doing their own things. The bartender was friendly but not hovering, the wine (half carafe, not 'glass') was very good, and the appetizers were wonderful. I am a foodie, and the crispy brussel sprouts were outstanding, also the meat and cheese plate. Harvest pie dessert good, not great. But overall it was a fun, delicious evening.

I really enjoyed our meal at lazy goat. The menu is interesting, wine is cool, and the service was friendly. Great view of the river and the park too.

“I had expectations”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

In a word I was disappointed. After hearing so many amazing things about the place, I did not feel the food or ambiance lived up to what I had heard. We started off with an appetizer of baked calamari, which was very tender, the sauce was a little strange but good. Next our table shared three entrees. The grouper was a special and it was really good. This was the best thing we tasted even if the portion was a little small. We also had the seafood paella and the chicken paella. The seafood paella was good, but nothing amazing the chicken paella had a distinct chili flavor that dominated the dish. We skipped on desert.

Interesting menu. Outdoor seating made for a pleasant experience. Location in lovely downtown Greenville is always a plus. Would like to visit again.

My husband and I live downtown and always enjoy having dinner here. Must try the pizzas or the steak and fries... great food!! The view from the top bar area is amazing too. Nice outside area too.
