Description: The Lazy Goat is a Mediterranean-themed restaurant with a menu featuring global influences from Spain, Morocco, Italy, France, Greece, Africa and the Middle East and a relaxed atmosphere where taking the time to "linger and share" is encouraged. The diverse menu was created to accommodate a variety of diner preferences with meat & cheese plates, small plates to “graze and nibble,” and main dishes. Guests are invited to take their time while "trying a little bit of that and a little bit of that" or a "whole lot of whatever they like".

Nice location with a view of the Reedy River. Some of my favorites are the morrocan chicken pastry, the asiago french fries, the sampler of sausage and cheese & the roasted brussel sprouts (yes, the brussel sprouts are to die for!!!!!). This is alot of fun with friends--it is casual dressy and you can enjoy some drinks and have a nice taste of the menu! A nice feature is that you don't necessarily have to spend a lot to have some great food and ambience.

Sits atop a man made stone waterfall with a great view if the river. We sat on outside patio which I highly recommend for that special evening. Creative cuisine, great wait staff and culinary wizardry. Loved it.

The Lazy Goat is nicely situated along the small river running through downtown Greenville, SC. Unlike many of the Greenville restaurants, the Lazy Goat is not in the downtown Main Street area. It is across the river, and not far from Main Street. Our GPS took us directly to the restaurant, and there is parking in an underground garage. Parking is not validated, which is a disappointment. There is outdoor seating, as well as two levels of indoor seating.

We were there for lunch and opted for the outdoor seating. It was a Saturday afternoon, and live music was provided in the form of a male soloist and keyboard. All in all, a very pleasant setting for lunch.

The menu appears to be inspired by Greek cuisine, but this is not a Greek restaurant. There are entree selections, as well as wraps, sandwiches, salads, ... The spanakopita was excellent, maybe the best I've ever had. We ordered a Spanish Monte Cristo sandwich and the chicken salad wrap. The wrap was excellent, whereas the sandwich was okay.

In summary, the Lazy Goat is a nice alternative to the chain and usual concept restaurants that populate Greenville's Main Street district. It provides a pleasing outdoor venue and decent menu for an lunch on a nice day.

Love the goat!....the food is really good and creatively presented by the chef. They are always trying new and exciting cuisines to keep you guessing and coming back. But, sitting out on the terrace and enjoying the beautiful Greenville weather along with the view of the river and the soon to be completed Peace Center addition, it's a great place to have a drink, a little nosh, or dinner. They are very accommdating and friendly.....overall it's a great experience. We love the goat!
