Description: The Lazy Goat is a Mediterranean-themed restaurant with a menu featuring global influences from Spain, Morocco, Italy, France, Greece, Africa and the Middle East and a relaxed atmosphere where taking the time to "linger and share" is encouraged. The diverse menu was created to accommodate a variety of diner preferences with meat & cheese plates, small plates to “graze and nibble,” and main dishes. Guests are invited to take their time while "trying a little bit of that and a little bit of that" or a "whole lot of whatever they like".

I wish we had a video camera with us for our experience! The food was good, but took 48 mins to get to our table, and was cold when it got there. We had read about The Lazy Goat and thought we would spend the evening enjoying a great experience, we were wrong! The service was disgusting, and he seemed high as a kite when he first talked to us. But this is just the tip of the iceburg...when he attempted to take out our bill, he dropped what appeared to be a baggy full of weed, and judging by his reaction when my husband attempted to pick it up for him, it most likely was. He grabbed his arm so hard that my husband wasn't sure what to expect next!

We will never set foot in this place again. We wanted to speak to a manager, but could not find one, the girl behind the desk asked us for our phone number, wow, seriously?

Never again!!

This is the perfect spot to enjoy time with friends! Large windows overlook the river, Wyche pavillion and ampitheater. Sit out on the patio to enjoy the great weather or live music across the way! Small plates are our favorite but delicious full meals are also available. Good selections of wines, beer, and bar drinks. Reservations accepted.

We walked over from the Westin, which was very pleasant. We sat inside at the bar while waiting for an outside table & enjoyed the live music inside the restaurant. Outside it was pleasant with river views, but we decided we wouldn't mind eating inside next time if there as we enjoyed the music so much.

We shared the Bisteeya appetizer which was nice. The standout was my entree, the banana leaf wrapped Branzino . I don't remember if we had dessert or what it was, sorry!

The Lazy Goat is a must during lunch:
1] They have a smaller menu, which you'll be thankful for because it's still packed with awesome choices and the decision will still be hard to make!
2] Numerous items cost $7 and under, so you can afford an appetizer, entree and perhaps dessert without breaking the bank.
3] I've been twice at noon and it wasn't busy.
4] If the weather's good, sit outside. But if it's not, the restaurant's glass exterior lends great views of the Artist's Walk, the river, the foot bridge and passersby.

During my most recent trip, we got the pimento cheese (with feta!) appetizer, the lamb burgesa (note: don't let anyone taste yours, or they'll be begging for more) and a pizza. I previously had the Moroccan chicken salad, which was fantastic! The server was great to answer my boyfriend's questions.

We skipped dessert here and got gelato from The Lazy Goat's gelateria below the restaurant. Of all the places I took my boyfriend in Greenville, this was his a favorite.
