Overnight stay on way to Atlanta. Hotel in very nice. Rooms clean and spacious. Very quiet. Only complaint is they put me on the first floor, but the wireless internet didn't work there. I went to the front desk and they immediately put me in a room on an upper floor. No problem with intenet after that.
The young man at the desk alluded to the fact that the wireless doesn't work too well on the first floor. Didn't explain why. So just a note of caution if you need internet access for work. Ask for an upper floor.

I believe there is an outdoor pool out back, though I didn't use it. The fitness center was closed, I think for renovations.

Hotel is walking distance to several restaurants, a lot of them serving steak. I'm not a big meat eater, but found a nice little place in a strip mall next to the hotel called Akropolis. They serve simple Greek and Italian dishes, and I found them quite good. Restaurant staff was very personable and the service was impeccable as well.

Wingate is a standard high value package. I like Wingate when traveling with my family. They always have a pool (indoor or outdoor), nice free breakfast, business center and an exercise room. I find the room well appointed and nicely laid out. This one has been recently updated and is nicely furnished. The room is big enough for 4. A nice big TV for the kids. The fridge and microwave are a nice touch. If I had to nit pick I would say the only issue was the shower curtain. It was too small for the shower! But that is really minor.

The best thing about the hotel was the free water. The jar of fruited water in the lobby was a nice touch. I love that stuff and had only seen it in high end resorts in Florida!

This hotel is located just off I-85. It is in a bit of a congested area. This area is probably ten years old and the age is beginning to show. Which in this economy means some places are going under. But there are still plenty of dining options near by.

Greenville, SC was a nice surprise. I highly recommend a trip to the local minor league baseball game if they are in town. Go Drive!

The only gripe was that they miss entered my trip rewards number and could not fix it. Thus I probably will not get credit for the stay!

We were very impressed with the room at this hotel. The rooms are very clean, very decorative, and the bed feel great. For a small fee each day, you can get internet and Nintendo 64 right on the TV in your room,(which is a 28" widescreen flat panel.) There is a keyboard and game pad hooked to the tv in every room. You are provided with a desk with wired data connetion to the internet, as well as wifi. Hair dryer, microwave, fridge, and even a small safe in the closet to store your valueables.

The hotel offers an outdoor pool, indoor hot-tub (which was out of order, waiting to be inspected) and a workout room with lots of great equipment. Free breakfast in the morning includes cereal, fruits, waffles, bagels, bacon, sausage, eggs, etc.
very tasty.

Located right off I85 close to all the food spots, and Walmart. Just minutes from the airport, mall, and bilo center downtown.

I would have loved to stayed more than two nights, maybe again soon.

I would give it five stars if only the spa/hot tub was working.

Had a great experience from the moment we walked in...clean, comfy room...great bedding...great mattress. Very quiet room, which was important since we traveled with a 10 week old. Breakfast was free and great. Hotel location is great-you can walk to several different restaurants, as well as a nearby health food store.

This motel is in an area with shopping and many restaurants nearby. There was sufficient free parking.

This Wingate has the look and feel of a more expensive hotel, with an attractive lobby, a fitness center, a whirlpool and a business center. Check-in was fast and efficient. Rooms are on interior corridors and have the full compliment of security features, such as electronic card locks, deadbolts and peepholes. The room was clean and quiet.

The large double queen bed room was decorated with wallpaper and framed art. Furnishings included an iron, an ironing board, a desk with chair, an easy chair, a spare chair, a large dresser, and a night table, clock radio, flat-panel widescreen television, microwave and refrigerator. The closet included a free safe. Despite all the other generous amenities, the coffeemaker only made one cup at a time and only enough coffee for one cup of regular and one cup of decaf was provided.

The desk included a telephone, a power strip for a notebook computer and both wired and wireless broadband connections. If you didn’t bring a notebook, you can use a PC in the business center, or pay for Internet service on the in-room television using a provided keyboard. There was also an in-room video game controller available. Finishing out the nice touches was a cordless telephone on the night table.

The bathroom was an all-in-one, with a large vanity, toilet and shower tub. I prefer having the vanity separate from the toilet and shower so they can be privately used while other family members use the vanity. The vanity had a generous five feet of useable counter space and included a hair dryer.

The continental breakfast included coffee, juices, waffles, English muffins, regular muffins, toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, oatmeal, Danish pastries, fruit cocktail and apples. The breakfast area was large and well maintained.

The Wingate Inn is an average, road side hotel. The hotel is currently under construction for renovation. My room was half renovated. The curtains, furniture, and bedspread were definitely from a decade ago. While the carpet, vanity, and wall paper were new. It was a bit odd to be in a semi- renovated room. I didn't understand why everything was not updated. The service is ok. The breakfast is not bad. Would I stay here again? Probably not. I have stayed at the Hampton Inn in downtown Greenville and feel that the extra $40 per night is well worth the money. The Hampton Inn in Greenville is definitely a higher quality hotel. I really felt like I was staying in a road side hotel while staying at the Wingate. The prices are a bit high for what you get. If you want to save some money then i guess you might stay here. However, I suggest you spend the extra cash and stay downtown at the Hampton. It is far better.

A group of women from our church stayed here at the end of March for the Extraordinary Women's Conference. Our stay was wonderful.. The front desk was nice and check in went smoothly. It was quiet and comfortable.
