This is a 2-story older hotel with no elevator. It looks like a rectangle box with all the doors facing the parking lot. The staff was super friendly. My room was non-smoking but stale cigarette smoke is the first aroma that hit me when I opened the door. There were lots of young shirtless guys smoking in the parking lot and on hanging over the top floor railing. This is not the best part of town. It is surrounded by title loans places and pawn shops. It is also not the easiest to find unless you have a GPS. The beds weren't terrible, but I woke up each morning with a backache. Pulled back the covers on one bed and immedately saw 2 public hairs (ewww). The shower was AMAZING, wish I had a shower head like that at home. The property is directly across (20 feet?) from some very active train tracks. Trains blare through with their horns sounding (it is a busy street intersection) all hours of the day and night and rattle the windows. Despite this, the air conditioner which made an awful clicking noise, and all the aforementioned people hanging out in the parking lot, it was very quiet in general. The breakfast is standard Choice Hotel fare but the area to sit was impossibly tiny. I don't think they are hurting for business; I had a reservation but they turned away the guy behind me saying they had nothing available for several days. Hard to believe this place won a quality award, maybe it was because of the staff.

Stayed here for one night. I was surprised at the exterior corrider and must not have looked carefully when I booked. As a woman, I do like to not stay alone in exterior rooms. If you are inside your hotel room, you will be perfectly comfortable. They have done a nice remodel. The outside is older and worn. It is near a busy street and railroad track. I was unsure of the safety but it seemed o.k. The staff is very pleasant. Breakfast was o.k. I would not stay here again but there were lots of others who had stayed here on business for weeks. The hotel was pretty full. You cannot beat the price, for the area. It is located within 5 miles of shopping and plenty of restaurants.

I had a great stay at the Quality Inn Goose Creek. My room was clean and the breakfast tasted great. The staff was very personable and full of knowledge. We happened to book a smaller room by accident and there was no availability for us to move. We are a couple traveling with a dog and had to squeeze into a full size bed. We were a little upset to find out that all the roll a ways were in use. Joseph Matthew, the front desk agent did some research while we were out and about in Charleston. He found us a roll a way bed not in use in one of the rooms. When we came back, the cot was set up with a little note thanking us for being patient. He could have just forgotten about us and let us be in our small little bed, but he did not. Joseph Matthew went out of his way to accommodate us. We had a better night sleep that night, since the three of us did not have to squeeze into a full size bed. Thank you making our stay a lot better.

We spent two nights at the Quality Inn Goose Creed while we visited Charleston. Our room was immaculate, the bed very comfortable and the shower was hot..loved the shampoo!!! The breakfast offered each morning was great, a nice variety with hot and cold choices. The manager should be very proud he has a great staff, very friendly and helpful. We certainly would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper ask to have a room on the opposite side of the railroad tracks, we had no...

We spent about a week here waiting for an apartment to open up. This hotel has some of the nicest people working here. They were very welcoming to all of us including my 4 legged friend. Anytime we needed anything they were here to help. We enjoyed an amazing breakfast every morning with GREAT coffee all through the day. It was very quiet here even when a great portion of the rooms were taken.

The hotel is just plain old. There has not been much maintenance on it since it was built. The hotel shows its age. There are no electrical outlets on the light in the room not enough for a computer and cell phone charger. The beds are not very good quality and the pillows are just too small. The hotel is clean but it needs to be remodeled. The people that work there are some of the nicest I have ever stayed with. The breakfast is bread, and muffins cereal and a hot waffle machine. Some fruit and yogurt. Not anything special. The price for the stay is too much for what you are getting 49.99 would be more appropriate for lack of amenities and age of the hotel. The worst part of all is you are by a railroad track and trains use it all the time and wake you up when they blow the horn. Hotel needs work and the breakfast could be better. But you will find no better people to deal with.

Room Tip: Dont stay on the railroad side of the hotel.

I spent time here whiile doing a project in Goose Creek Sc. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good as well. I recomend staying on the opposite side of the hotell from the railroad tracks as this will minimize the sound of the passing trains. The room was very clean and up to date with a refrigerator and microwave.

Room Tip: Get a room on the opposite side from where the Wendy's is to help minimize the sound of the trai...
