“Best Activity in Georgetown”
Reviewed March 23, 2012

This tour is a MUST for anyone visiting Georgetown!!!! It is a great way to learn about Georgetown and South Carolina's history. The tour is affordable ($10 per person) and worth every penny (and more!). I don't want to spoil the tour by telling you what you will hear but be prepared to be astounded by the vast intake of knowledge imparted on this tour! Ghosts, history, religion, architecture and more. I was surprised at how much I learned from this tour considering I am from South Carolina and a history nerd. Anyone planning a trip to the Georgetown area of our great Palmetto State must make this tour a priority!

“Great Way To Learn About Georgetown”
Reviewed September 15, 2011

This is the best way to learn about Georgetown in about an hour. The tram driver takes you around the historic section of the town and tells you very interesting details about the town, several buildings, the buildings past/present owners, and different events that took place at the buildings. We even toured the church that Michelle Obama attended as a child. Her family (the Robinsons) are still members to this day.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the town's history and gave a great recommendation for dinner!

“very fun and informative”
Reviewed June 21, 2011

The tours runs every hour. You ride in a small tram. It was only $10 (I believe). It ran about an hour. It was very entertaining. The guide seemed to know everything about Georgetown (and the South). He pointed out the architectural styles of various decades. We also went inside a church that used to be used as a "schoolhouse" for former slaves to teach them how to read and write.
