“VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!”

The office is at the gas station. The campground itself is in need of repairs. It did appear that someone was trying to fix up the place... The concrete pad we were on was busted and muddy water was ever where. No Wifi even though the host said there were 3 hotspots in the park. We did have good water pressure and 50 amp service. This in a Not to o back KOA for us.

This KOA is poorly run and managed. My friend and I made a reservation with this KOA based on a good experience with the KOA in Statesville, NC. Unfortunately we did not take the time to read the many reviews on several websites pertaining to this particular KOA. Be glad you did, you are smarter than we were. Everything you read about the dive bar, trashy appearance, no room between sites ect. is true. During the reservation process we asked for specific accommodations and were even told our requests had been approved by the manager on shift. When we arrived we were told that the accommodations we had made were against policy and that the owner would have to be consulted. When the owner arrived he essentially told us we were being dishonest about the accommodations we had agreed to during the reservation, and told us to get a refund and leave. When I asked him to call the manager we told him had agreed to them he refused, saying he didn't need to because he already knew what he would say. I would recommend you avoid this campground.

Check in was at a gas station that had a hillbilly bar connected to it. Not a great start. Entrance looked like we would be camping at the Publix parking lot. When we got into place, found it to be actually pretty nice. Great sites with the perfect mix of shade and sun. Great showers that were big and private, but could have been maintained a bit better. The pool was fantastic but jump pillow wasn't operational. Seemed like they were doing a lot of improvement so I think this place will only get better. Very good value and really happy with our 2 night stay. I would definitely come back.

Roads have pot holes, sites muddy after a rain. The area you check-in is the store on the road. Not a place I would recomend to anyone. Lots of large dogs and owners not picking up after them. Exit from I-77south has 2 right hand turn lanes there is no swing room if you are in the inside lane and your tow vehicle will run up on the curb and sidewalk.

Everything we ready up on said there was a playground and jumping pillow. For one there wasn't a playground (which is why we decided to stay there). Very disappointing to a 4 year old. Second the jumping pillow had a rip and wasn't useable. When we checked in we had to wait a good half hour once checked in to even get to our site. Overall this was not a good KOA and I will no be back. There wasn't any fire pits either. Unless you bring everything but the kitchen sink with you don't stay.

We picked a KOA for there FULl service facility and reputation.
Very disappointed ,,,,Sites are way to close ,Wifi is advertised but we could never get on line.
bathrooms have code locks but the bathroom outdoor areas have no lights so you can't see to program code to open door.
there were 4 showers ,2 out of order , and one with broken shower head and no hot water.

It was memorial day weekend (busy camping holiday) the office was closed all weekend, we could not complain or get help.
Sign on door said go to gas station to check in ..We went there for wifi explanation.
The girl working there said she knows nothing and can just check in new guests.
Fort mills has false advertising on the wifi and we would never stay there again,we wanted our money refunded but three was no one there.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else

This was the first time that we had stayed at a KOA park. It was very disappointing, we were under the impression that KOA are a high end park, as reflected by their price. We had to register at a gas station outside the park. The attendant took us to our site. The park was not busy at all and there were lots of open sites. There are sites with nice level concrete pads and we were put on a very wet dirt site, there were other RVs there that were on the wet sites also. We are not sure what they are saving the concrete pad sites for. We had four concrete pads on either side of us that remained open all night.
The park was quite, except for the noise from the Charlotte airport but there was hardly anyone in the park also. The park looks like nothing has been done to keep it nice looking. The dirt roads are full of large holes and the overall appearance is shabby looking.
This not we expected from a KOA park. We would not stay there again.
