These people take great pride in the quality and variety of what they serve. It's a no frills, straight-forward sort of place in a strip-mall location on one of the main business strips of this sleepy Southern town inland a bit from the beaches of the Grand Strand. They have an all-you-can-eat buffet with tons of options on Tuesdays starting at 5pm. At just one seating I ate whole spots, flounder filets, clam strips, shrimp, oysters, and scallops. The options are many but do depend on the market of the season. The menu is diverse enough that seafood people can be sated easily on non-buffet visits. What's not to love?
There's the bonus of a fresh market on site so you don't have to settle for just fried fare--you can get it just off a truck and cook it your way, with good advise from the fish monger on duty. They know their craft, so depend on good choices either way. They've been around since l984 so that gives credence to their business, for sure. This is a little known option for travelers to and from the beaches with a little time to pause. Late lunch before continuing to the hotels of the Grand Strand makes great sense to me! Beats arriving to a "not ready" accomodation on an empty stomach with nobody yet serving upon arrival at your vacation venue. Give these people a shot, won't you?
