Carpet filthy. Odor in all rooms that cannot be eliminated; however, opting for a smoking room does help cover it. Roaches in bathtub. A/C malfunctioned; could not get any circulation. This motel is at the Piney Grove exit. Keep driving.

Check in was no problem. This facility is operated by Indians, but no problem with accents, either in person or over the phone.

As I openedbmyn room's door, #136, I was greeted by a large room. Finishings included two double beds, with 3 3/4 size pilloews. Wide chest with four drawers. Table with two chairs. Large tv , not flat screen, only 24 channels.,Two mirrors, one full length and the other wider, but shorter.table between thebbeds, with clock.

Bathroom is good size. The sink area is wall to wall. Plenty of space for traveling items.,Coffee maker, hair dryer. Shampoo, lotion and conidtioner. Number of cups for coffee.

Shower/tub combo. Hand railing to get in, with railings on both ends and two railings on the wall. I would say this facility is the most safely conscious of ant motel I have stayed at. Use the rear railing getting outr of the tub. The step can be awkward as you step out of the tub. Tub has a skid proof floor., Outside the shower is wall sign that states-'Watch Your Step. Tub Siding Elevated'
Shower pressure not over powering, but very adequate, with water feeling soft on the face. Both the bedroom area and bathroom clean. No hair or mold in tub.

Bed was comfortable. NO BEDBUGS. Air coniditioning unit works best on high, with a temperature setting at 64F. However I don't think the temperature got to 64. The unit is a bit on the load side.

Iron/ironing board in bathroom. No closet, however there is a wall rack in the bathroom, with nine wooden hangers. Also a luggage rack.

Light for the bathroom is by the iron. Just about all the electrical outlets are used. The only one available was by the hair dryer.

No mico/fridge.A mico is available in the breakfast room. Breakfast served 6:30 to 9:30. The room has at least 10 tables, with two chairs each. Over all breakfast is basic. I went to a nearby Waffle House.

I found three problems with the bathroon. The faucet was hard to pull up., The drain plugnbin the tub wouldn't fit tight. In the morning, the toilet won't stop running.

My room was non-smoking. Smelled no smoke from the previous guest. If my room hadva mico/fridge I probably would stay again.

Jack L., Syracuse, New York.

DO NOT STAY HERE this is the nastiest hotel I have ever seen we pulled up and the pool was GREEN it looked more like a pond rather than a pool we thought ok... It;s a little chilly then we checked in.... When we arrived at our room we were knocked down by the smell of cigarette smoke( we booked a non- smoking room) then the whole was coved in burn marks and had an ashtray in the dressing area on top of the what I am assuming white refrigerator was rust and gunk a forth of an inch thick I was ready 2 check out then.... We pulled back the sheets and a HUGE spider ran out onto the floor as we killed the spider we noticed trash which turned out to be a package of male enhancement pills. The tv was fuzzy and about ten years old the remote was held together with tape.... We returned to the front desk to check out and attempted to speak with the desk clerk to receive our choice points back and our 15 dollar pet fee which we have NOT received back but.... The clerk spoke VERY little English and refused to refund our points and pet fee.... When choice called then they were non-compliant on both occasion so they refunded our points the manager did not even have the decency to walk 10 ft to the lobby to speak with us..... I wouldnt leave my pet here let alone sleep or for that matter stay for more than five min. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME THIS HOTEL unless your crack head or a hooker renting by the hour...... STAY at the COMFORT INN on bush river road

Unfortunately, we were on the road and were going by the description in the discount coupon book we'd picked up at the Visitor's Welcome Center entering South Carolina. We came to this place sight unseen and were too tired after having been on the road all day not to look elsewhere. I wish we had. It's not that the room itself was all that horrible (we've stayed in worse) but the location was IMPOSSIBLE!!! My husband and I are not idiots but every single time we tried to get to this place we got turned around. The road it is on is off the on ramp to Interstate 20 - try navigating that in the dark or at rush hour. We never made it once and the GPS was of no assistance either. I wish we'd spent the extra $20 bucks and stayed somewhere that you don't have to be a local to find. The coupon book also said the place had been "recently renovated". Could have fooled me - it looked like it was on it's last legs. I don't think we'll be staying at any more Quality Inns - regardless of the price and AAA might want to re-think it's approval rating.

Recent stay was the most horrible experience of my family's life! Besides the disgusting and filthy accommodations, it was discovered that certain members of the staff were engaged in seriously repulsive activities that are now under investigation. If you care for your family's personal safety and privacy, stay away from this place!

well, I should start off by saying I do not have that high standards for any hotel/motel. Clean sheets and towels, bug-free, and working lights is pretty much all I really ask for. The towels and lights were fine, but I can tell this place does not take pride in its housekeeping. My brother and I came here to spend the night in the Columbia area. Room #1 had 3 spider webs in the corners (including one over my bed, which I had to get rid of), complete with living insects and spiders. The pillowcases were unclean (gray stains), the bed spreads and sidings had blood stains and other things I dont want to know about, and I highly suggest you wear flip flops in their showers. We asked for another room, which had more spiders, a cockroach in the corner, and at least 2 living bugs (bedbugs maybe?). Plus the quilt was ripped and stained, and the room was even worse so we went back to room #1 (I found bugs 2nd time). When I spoke to their manager, he said they can't issue refunds after 10 minutes, and insisted the rooms were fine and we were costing him money by switching rooms. We were too tired (late at night) to go to another hotel, so I left the lights on and slept for a few hours. If price is that big a deal, and you don't mind a few bugs, this place is OK. If you do, AVOID THIS HOTEL.

Room Tip: look for one that has fewer bugs and fewer blood stains

Room was full of ants, spoke with the owner and she told me that maybe some beer was spilled in the room. Maintenance or who ever he was offered to give me some powder to put down. Didn't know I had to do my own exterminating. Ciggarette burns on counters, microwave and bedspread. Pool was filthy and owner/manager said it was cleaned before I checked in. Wi-Fi did not work. Checked out after 4 hours with a refusal to give my money back.
