I wanted to place a to go order so a very nice waitress who welcomed me as I entered the place directed me to the bar. When I got to the bar the bar tender was engaged in a conversation with a patron drinking there. I wasn't immediately address. I patiently waited for what ended feeling like an eternity and at least 4 sets of back and forth remarks between the bar guy and the patron. I was about to say something about not being acknowledged at which point the bar guy grabbed a pitcher of water and just left the area to top of his tables drinks. At that point I just dropped the menu and walked away thinking this guy doesn't care whatsoever about customer service or making a sale. As I was walking away the inebriated patron sitting solo at the bar hollered at me about four times to come back. The last time that drunk guy hollered at me I was physically with a foot out the door and about 30 feet away.
I would in the hotel service industry in the metro Columbia area and will most definitely NOT be referring Pauly's Front Porch to any guest for a bad referral reflect poorly on me!
