Description: DiPrato's Delicatessen opened May 2004, and, today, the DiPrato's Experience affords patrons a rewarding escape from ordinary fare. The reward? Delectable food, beautiful décor, and a beguiling balance: friendly service and a pleasant, neighborly feeling. DiPrato's, located where the Purple Cow grocer operated, graces a quiet neighborhood barely off the beaten path. Driving up, you notice the rich red brick, set off by greenery, and spacious windows where light pours in. Approaching the wooden, double-door entrance, a thought comes to mind. You're about to enjoy the DiPrato's Experience. You could say a Southern breeze laden with Italian accents drifts through this New York style delicatessen. Dine if you like on the patio where the glassy splash of falling water melts away concerns. Pita chips and pimento cheese are a real treat! Blend Dianne Light and Bill Prato's presence and culinary skills and you get a wonderfully popular delicatessen-DiPrato's.

I went to Di Prato's for the first time in November 2013. We went on a Gameday Saturday so it was a bit crowded. That being said, we were seated within 30 minutes and my French toast definitely was worth the wait. It's a cute little breakfast location and I would recommend for people to check it out.

Brunch, mimosas & desserts! All delicious, the pimiento cheese and pitas are amazing as are any desserts on display! Can get a little busy, but no complaints on service or quality of food!

When we visit our son who is a student at USC, we usually make a stop at Di Prato's for one of our weekend meals. When we were in town recently for Parents' Weekend, we purchased a few to go deli items for tailgating which were all delicious (gouda bacon pimento cheese--yum!). The restaurant is tucked away on a side street adjacent to campus, there is plenty of seating, staff is friendly & the menu has several options. Take time to stop in for a meal--you won't be disappointed!

Sunday Brunch at Di Prato's was very good, resonably priced and throughly enjoyable. My wife had the Eggs Benedict (one of her favorites) and siad it was the best she has had in Columbia. I tried the Heuvo's Rancheros which was non-traditional but excelente. They used a black bean patty instead of refried beans, and a tasty green salsa on top--well done. Di Prato's is a lively, fairly loud setting more suited for a business lunch, Sunday brunch than any intimate or romantic occasion. Highly recommend, we will be going back soon.

Sunday brunch was a bit of a wait and crowded but the food is worth it. One of the few good Benedict's in Columbia. I took prepared food to go for lunch the next day and experienced it again in a whole new way. The pimento cheeses are great but the hot sandwiches keep me coming back. I've eaten here many times and often get the daily special...the fish Tacos are fabulous. This is also a great place to pick up a meal for a sick friend or when you have to bring food to an event. Fun ladies lunch place but men are all around enjoying a great meal too. I recommend the cheesecake, even if you get it to go!
