Very affordable and just as advertised. Room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was great. Staff was very friendly. The front porch lined with rocking chairs was quintessential Southern charm. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We went to a company party in Columbia, SC last week and we stayed for one night at the Inn at USC. We had stayed there before -- and we enjoy a small inn vs. a large hotel. It is hidden just a couple of blocks off Gervais and close to the university. The library was a great place to have a drink during the manager's reception. The complimentary breakfast was very nice the next morning -- especiallly the belgian waffles with pecans. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

This was our third stay at the Inn and every experience has been wonderful!

For starters, you'll be hard pressed to find a cleaner hotel from top to bottom. The common areas and rooms are always spotless and fresh smelling. The rooms themselves all have a mini fridge and microwave, are very quiet, and have the most plush, comfortable beds.

And then...there's the complimentary breakfast. Every morning, you'll find fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, eggs, bacon/sausage, grits, sausage gravy, and some of the BEST biscuits you'll every eat. In addition, the kitchen staff is there to prepare a waffle or custom omelet. The service and quality can't be beat!

The Inn is conveniently located in the heart of USC and is just minutes away from downtown Columbia. We will stay here every time we come to Columbia!

Excellent hotel with very helfpul staff. I reached late to the hotel in the night but they were very accomodating and made the checkin process very simple and quick. The receiptionist was very quick and helfpul. I would say that people should not go by the name of the Hotel as Inn and it is maintained very well in an excellent location.

This hotel has the space of a hotel with the feel of a bed and breakfast. From the moment you step into the hotel you are greeted with friendly faces. There are several types of rooms to choose from. Staying in a suite is a must - we especially like the ones with balcony's. The bedroom and sitting room are separate so one of you can be sleeping while the other watches TV! The historic rooms are spectacular and would be perfect for a special event. There is a full breakfast in the morning and a cash bar at night. Be sure to visit the bar as you will meet many interesting people.

The Inn would also be a perfect place for a company retreat as it has ample meeting rooms and special events occur quite frequently. We saw everything from weddings to business meetings.

You are in the heart of the USC campus and can stroll around the Historic Horseshoe after breakfast. Five points is 4 blocks away and a short walking distance from the hotel. Five Points has restaurants, bars, shopping etc.

My husband enjoyed our stay at the Inn for South Carolina Football games and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!
