It's a great place to walk on sunday with the family. We would go and take pictures and feed the squirrels.

Awesome statues and beautiful grounds. Don't forget to take peanuts, the squirles will take them put of your hand!

This is a beautiful capitol. If you visit, be sure to look for the 6 bronze stars on the outside. They are suppose to be on the west & southwest walls - but I could only find 1. Cannon fire damage from the Civil War can still be seen today! Shells from Union Army's General William T. Sherman's cannons damaged the building in February 1865.

There is metered parking around the capitol which costs 5 cent for 4 minutes, 10 cents for 8 minutes or 25 cents for 20 minutes. You will need at least 75 cents to see everything.
