“Low Quality Children's Museum”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

I am a Mom who made it a point to visit children's museums across the Southeast when my children were small. Good museums are interactive and hands on, scientifically or historically accurate, imaginative and engaging, and stimulating intellectually for all ages. This museum has one main attraction: a big dummy that kids can climb inside, hear his heartbeat, and then slide down to exit out of his butt. Wow. IMO, it lacks intellectual challenge, is small, appeals to a very limited age group (maybe 3 - 6 year olds), is relatively expensive to get in the door, and in my opinion doesn't hold a candle to the much more extensive, historically and scientifically accurate, and interactive State Museum next door.

“$1 night”
Reviewed August 15, 2012

It was hectic with people. Not as nice as Greenville, SC children's museum or Hands on Museum in Johnson City, TN. It was hard to keep tract of your children on Eddie.

“Nice place for my 5yr old”
Reviewed August 11, 2012 via mobile

Nice place, bit higher price than I'd like but my son was impressed. Although the butterfly exhibit is rolled into the price - we couldn't take advantage of it due to rain so it wasn't open. They should have other options available because I would have enjoyed seeing that feature. If we visit the area again, doubt if we go back.

“What to Expect at Edventure”
Reviewed August 4, 2012

Edventure gets a 4 because of the entertainment level the children get. They love going. Especially when they can walk through Eddie. (The giant kids you can walk/climb through that shows different parts of the body, Pretty neat) The exhibits are fun for them too. If you and the kids have never been then it will be a good time. The downside to it is some of the exhibits are starting to get run down. You, as a parent, may be expecting more for you but for kids 12 and under its pretty cool. They definitly need to revamp the place and put some of the money back into the exhibits. Bottom Line, go if you havent gone and try to get discounted tickets. Teachers can get in free.
