“Great oysters... and the place to be during Masters week!”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

The place was packed, the bartender literally said Masters week is their busiest week of the year. I sat at the bar and ordered the oysters, and cold draft IPA beer. Both were fabulous, and the service was just as good despite the people everywhere. The area is packed with fun places to eat and beer. Just park your car and walk everywhere. The place to be - well if you can get a hotel room!

Had a great draft special - all drafts were $3

“Sorry to say but just OK, but be sure to check out upstairs at night”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

First off, I LOVE OYSTERS! So I was super excited to try Pearlz while on vacation. We were there on a Friday afternoon about 5:30. We ordered the appetizer special Trigger bites, which were good, and a dozen steamed oysters. The appetizer came out in a reasonable amount of time and we were told numerous times that the oysters were on the way but then lost our waitress....after 45 minutes she came back by to ask if we wanted anything else and we asked about our oysters?!?! She thought they had already been brought out? It was not long before they were presented and she insisted on taking them off the bill. They weren't fishy but did not have a lot of flavor either, disappointing!!! On a brighter note we noticed the upstairs from the street the next night and went up to enjoy a jazz band and some fun cocktails. Must try the Dragon Water!!!!

“Good...not great”
Reviewed March 10, 2013 via mobile

We went to Pearlz because my sister lives in Columbia, and she is a big fan. The food was good, but not great. It's fairly priced with a cool atmosphere.

“Good casual restaurant downtown”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

We recommend the fish tacos (my wife prefers the mahi and I like the swordfish). The staff is friendly and prices are moderate. This is one of a growing chain of restaurants in the Southeast. Nearby sister restaurant Liberty also is very good.
