“I love this zoo!”
Reviewed September 11, 2012 via mobile

I have came to this zoo a couple times while in South Carolina for vacations. I LOVE this zoo. Theres alot of animals and alot of other things to do here also! Feed a giraffe, ride a pony, kangaroo walk about, farm where you can feed goats and stuff and much more. If you come here you will want to make sure you have enough time so you can see everything. I can't wait to go back here on my next visit to S.C.

“Great Zoo”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

Visited here with my daughter before dropping her off at college. It always has been a great place to visit and still is. There have been changes since we last went with them removing the old, outdated seal habitat and replacing it with a kangaroo walkthrough area. They are raising money to build a modern seal exhibit in the future. Easy place to walk around with lots of little extras for the kids to do. Some nice indoor exhibits to take in when it gets too hot or rains. Parking is convenient and free.

“Extroverted animals in a beautiful setting”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

It may have been the weather (cool and brief rainstorm after a period of hot weather) but the animals during our visit were very active and visible. The exhibits are beautifully designed and the overall layout of the zoo is easy to navigate, with something of interest around every bend in the well-maintained pathways. Equal parts zoo and botanical gardens, this was a very pleasant afternoon. The grandkids loved it and so did I!

“4th Best Zoo in the U.S.”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

When you are from New York you don't get impressed very easily. Well this zoo was amazing and we very impressed!. The way is designed is easy to navigate as you sort of go in circles. The exhibits are incredible. The grounds very well kept, gorgeous gardens even on the zoo side. The volunteers and staff are so dedicated and friendly, definitely show how proud they are of this facility. I learned from one of the volunteers by the name of Art that this zoo is rated as the 4th best in the country. We have visited the Miami Zoo, San Diego, Bronx Zoo in New York and others, I have to say we loved this one. There is a tram available to go from the zoo to the Botanical Garden, otherwise get ready for a loooong walk.
