On vacation from Minnesota where we have a pretty good zoo, was excited to see this one and it did not disappoint. Animal exhibits are clean and you can see the animals from multiple areas. The fish aquarium is small and nothing special but the rest of the safari animals and birds made up for it! This is a must see that's family fun and kids will enjoy!

This zoo is small but what it lacks in size, it makes up in the animals and activities offered. You see some of the usual large animals (bears, big cats, elephants, giraffes). You also see smaller and less well-known species. The zoo offers plenty of shade (important for hot summer days) and is spacious enough that though the parking lot is crowded, the zoo doesn't seem that way inside. We especially enjoyed the gorilla exhibit - being so close to these amazing creatures is awesome. Try to arrive early in the morning and hit some of the popular spots BEFORE the crowd arrives such as the lorakeets and giraffes, both of which you may feed for a small charge. The lorakeets are really neat and will get up close and personal with you.

I really like this zoo for the fact that you can actually see the animals. A lot of zoos have a large park, but that leaves the animals 100 miles away and you can't even see them, never mind getting a decent picture. Here they are up close and you can see them. It's not a big park, but it's still a really good day trip.
