“Allright- don't make a special trip”
Reviewed November 11, 2013 via mobile

Ok- I travel a lot and have stopped at fatz on the occasion that there are no other choices. Here is my review-

I had the shrimp PO boy. Definitely not south Louisiana shrimp poboys, but I'm not in south la so what's to expect. Came with sweet potato fries. Pretty good. Also had the potato soup. Skip that. Service was very good.

Final recommendation: don't hesitate to go there (if there are no other choices... )

“Second time at a Fatz”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

We stopped on our way to NC and just wanted a quick bite and get back on the road. Brittney was our server and she did an outstanding job. Very friendly and efficient. We had salads and they were on our table less than 10 minutes from the time we sat down. She kept our drinks filled and offered us go cups for us take with us. Nice touch. The salads were very good and proportioned right. Not so huge you had to struggle to finish them. We will return.

“Worth the price”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

My daughter wanted something different than what the rest of the family got, so she decided to go to Fatz. She ordered chicken strips, shrimp, and she had the mac and cheese with bacon which was very good, and as always the poppy seed rolls are out of this world. For the price of less than $13 dollars, she had enough to eat later on that evening.

“Unhitch Your Belt and Enjoy!”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

Not long after we checked into the Hampton Inn (which we recommend) right next door, we sauntered over to Fatz (not "Fats") for dinner, noticing on the way that their big sign visible from I-26 had the "z" burned out. Was this just a coincidence or was it simply fore telling what might happen to us if we made some inappropriate (for us) decisions about dinner, such as ordering the all-you-can-eat-ribs option, which I was tempted to do, but didn't? I've since heard, however, that the ribs are pretty darn good. Maybe the next time. Well, the hostess was hospitable, the seating was fine, right next to a window and away from the main dining area, which was quickly filling up with famished folks dying for some ribs, it seemed. Our server did a great job, but was a little disappointed when we ordered two "lite" dishes, a shrimp kabob and a grilled fish with rice and veggies. Both turned out to be fine, but to compensate, I also ordered a starter of wings with a dry rub, and they were close to as good as you'll get anywhere. Lots of selections, good service, lots of food, lots of calories and, for a franchise, a pretty darn good place. So when I'm not being a food snob, we'll sneak back into a Fatz for some ribs and wings and beers. Why not?
