This was our first time going to the Blue Heron in Clemson, and we had read the reviews and it sounded very good. The restaurant is "hidden" in the back of a building on College Ave. and upon entering the building, it's pretty "bland", but when you arrive at the door, it changes into a wonderful, cozy restaurant and sushi bar. The server, Mark, is a student and was very attentive and knew all of the answers to our questions. The wine list is excellent and they have received multiple awards for this. The appetizer list is very good and the choice of lobster bisque was a good one. My wife ordered pan seared grouper oscar and it was wonderful. I ordered angel hair pasta, filled with shrimp, crawdads, scallops in a tomato sauce. Extraordinary!!!!! The desserts are great and there is an excellent choice of afterdinner drinks if desired. This was our first visit to the Blue Heron, but we will absolutely return when we go back to Clemson.
