“Average place to eat”
Reviewed January 1, 2013 via mobile

We ate there during lunch, the only item to eat was the buffet. The food was average, much like many other buffets. There Es a good variety from which to pick and service was very good. It is a quick place to eat, but for around $10.00 per person it could be better

“Totally Disappointed”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

This restaurant is in a beautiful location on Lake Hartwell and overlooks the Clemson University golf course. We have enjoyed eating here in the past and were regulars for their Sunday Brunch Buffet prior to renovation. After the renovation we had a bad experience shortly after they reopened and hadn't been back. This past Sunday we decided to give them another try. We arrived just before noon and were seated promptly by a window. Then we looked at the buffet. They had a station for fresh omelets and eggs. The buffet food was very unappetizing for the most part. There were a few bagels, but no cream cheese to go with them. The cheddar beer soup looked like it had been out since the night before. If there hadn't been a sign stating that whatever was in the pot was grits you wouldn't have known. The main bar had twice baked mashed potatoes that were acceptable, macaroni and cheese that was so dry we didn't even consider it, Brussels sprouts that were OK, baked salmon that was terribly dry, roast pork loin with polenta that was relatively good, fried chicken that was almost black and a little bit of carved roast beef that was all very well done. The salad bar was average and most of the items on the dessert bar looked like they were left over from an event the night before. The apple cobbler was good. My wife decided to get something from the omelet/egg bar. The attendant was not at all friendly, but did fix the eggs as she wanted them.

Our waitress asked how everything was when we came back with our food and we were honest and said we were disappointed. She apologized and before long the manager on duty came to the table. We pointed out the items that were not up to standard and she admitted that some were not. The manager, waitress and hostess were friendly but the line food staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. For a meal costing $14.00, one would think they would serve some type of dinner roll. There was bread for toast and soda crackers.

This is such a disappointment because it's a beautiful setting and the food used to be quite good. It has really gone downhill under the current management.

“Thanksgiving Buffet”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

We were very disappointed with our Thanksgiving buffet at Seasons today. It was edible except for the roast beef that was too tough to chew. Someone should taste the tomatoes before they dare to put them on the salad bar. The buffet at Seasons is usually good. It was not today.

“Beautiful view with beautiful food !”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

What a delight! We ate outside on the patio with live jazz music in the background. The patio overlooks the lake with the sun setting in the background. I had the Cajun rib-eye steak which was absolutely delicious. My wife had one of the specials -- bourbon pork tenderloin, which she said was the best pork she had ever had. Pork that actually tasted like pork rather than the bland "white meat" she usually encounters. Our waitress was prompt and attentive. All the makings of a memorable meal!

“Doesn't Live Up to Hype”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

About once a year, often around winter holidays, we come here with everyone from my department at work. For lunch, you get institutional food dressed up. It's an all-you-can-eat buffet, but you probably wouldn't want to eat all that much of it. It's just not all that good. It's a notch below Applebee's or Ruby Tuesdays, to give you an idea.

Now, in the past, their nighttime fare was quite good (they got the old chef from Farmer's Hall in Pendleton for a brief while), but that was many years ago. I have been back for an evening meal once or twice since then and was underwhelmed each time.
