Although a very small restaurant in a college town it is a true gem. Ate there a recent Saturday and loved the food. The oysters were great and the grits are beyond awesome. The service was ok. Had a worker cross leveling sauces in the dining room and not being completely sanitary so avoid sauce on the tables. Beer was cold and reasonable. Hope it lasts as there have been many that have tried before them at that location.

My husband wanted to go b/c he heard they have great oysters and low country boil. Unfortunately for me, they only serve their low country boil on Tuesday and Saturdays. (We went on a Friday.) So I got the fried soft shell crabs, fries and mac n cheese. Husband got a half dozen raw oysters and the Brunswick stew. He loved his food. My food was pretty good. The soft shell crab was not greasy or over cooked. The fries were my favorite. They had like a salty/sweet seasoning on them. Servers were nice and friendly. Overall, it was a good meal and we will probably go back again.

This wonderful restaurant has awesome food and the friendliest staff I have ever met. From the beef brisket to the pork bbq, it was very tasty. All the sides.....Mac and cheese, coleslaw and collard greens are out of this world delicious. You must save room for the skookie and cobbler too. A must visit if you like good food and nice staff who work hard at making sure you are happy. Sit at the bar for the extra dose of friendly service.

This restaurant features some barbecue dishes as well as other regional and southern specialties. Located right across the street from the Clemson soccer stadium, the location is convenient. They have large bar and separate dining room. They have some unique specials sometimes. The price is a little high for the small portion size of some dishes..

We had a late Sunday afternoon lunch and the small restaurant was not crowded. Service was very good. All dinnerware is environmentally friendly.i.e. disposable, which is really not my thing. ( the disposable part) That said , the food was good. BBQ pork plate was large, oyster po- boy excellent, my sons po- boy had six small fried shrimp which was as little bit disappointing since it was mostly bread. Sides were very good. (If you eat collards, they are yummy) Teas were refilled promptly. (I think they were included with our lunch plates.)

I saw a review that indicated that they charge $1 per cup of water and checked on this. Owner said on game days, they are forced to charge because so many people come in just to get water and use the bathroom. I wouldn't judge them on game day---tough time for a small restaurant adjacent to campus.

It's a neat menu covering the best foods of South Carolina and even those who hate seafood/oysters will find plenty of choices.
