“Excellent food”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

The restaurant won't wow you with ambiance, but the food makes it worth going. It is a nice change from going to one of the many chain eating places in the area. The curry dishes are very flavorful, and the prices are reasonable. We will be back.

“Great place to have a pleasant dinner”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

What a surprise to see a Thai restaurant in Clemson. It is very good overall. The food is excellent and that is the basis of the rating. I have been there for dinner twice but not for lunch. It is not a fine dining experience but for $15 including tax, it is very pleasant. Not up to the standards of the best Thai in Atlanta, but a solid value. My curry dishes were well seasoned and medium hot, which is not too hot and not heat-free. The building apparently housed a fast-food place at one time, so the atmosphere is not much but the food makes up for it. The staff is very pleasant and service is quite quick.

“Great food, friendly service”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

Lunch is a better bargain than dinner but regardlessof when you dine, the food is delicious, especially compared to the ubiquitous fast food options in Clemson. My family loves the pad see eew, pad thai,.and spicy basil noodles. I prefer the SPICY CATFISH - Excellent! You will not be disappointed. Regarding earlier review. The original menu was confusing but it has been replaced by a proper menu. On the downside: No Alcohol.

“Food Was Good, But Confused By Pricing”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

This food was good, but make sure and tell them how spicy you want it or it might burn you up! I would go back here again, but I am confused why the pricing is $4 higher at night for the exact same plate. I have tried both lunch and dinner, but the price was much different. I know a lot of restaurants do this, but the plate size usually gives more food at night since they charge more. Anyway, I think the food was really good and I would try it again. Sometimes restaurants are good when they start and then they aren't good anymore after a few months. This one just opened, and it was delicious, so, I will keep going as long as it stays as good as it is now.

“Great Lunch Addition for Clemson”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

I had heard rave reviews of the two Thai Spice locations in Anderson, but never tried them out. Then, about three weeks ago, the local franchise appeared in a property that has seen multiple restaurants come and go over the years (KFC, Guthrie's, Miami Subs, Fuji).

I have now been there more than half-a-dozen times and it has been quite good every time. I enjoyed some items more than others, but that's just a matter of personal taste. I will say that portion sizes have dropped in these three weeks, but that's to be expected. For $6.95 plus tax, they couldn't have afforded to continue serving up huge platters when the entire dining area seats no more than 35 people. They couldn't have pushed enough people through to survive on small margins.

For your money, you get a rice or noodles, meat, and veggie dish in one of various sauces. If you want beef ($1) or shrimp ($2), there is an additional fee. Otherwise, it's pork, chicken, veggies, or tofu to accompany your veggies and starch (tip: don't choose veggies, as you don't then get any extra veggies). You also get a tiny egg roll and sliced cucumbers as an appetizer.

Only real complaint is that it gets crowded sometimes (minor quibble) and that it's ridiculously cold in the dining room. Also, like pizza places, when the menu says "veggies" without specifying, assume lots of celery and green pepper, don't think broccoli and carrots and corn and spinach. :)
