“Two nights in Charleston”
Reviewed February 24, 2014

This is one of the best hotels I stayed in. The staff were extremely attentive to my needs. They were very polite at the reception desk and they do get out of their way to help you in anything. Very prompt too ! The beds are extremely comfy, very quiet (I did ask for a room in the back) . The breakfast was excellent, too much choice , hardly ever had any breakfast like it before. The restaurant staff were always smiling and they really offered a very good service. The décor of the rooms was outstanding, the shower and bathroom were very spacious. You really cant beat the price!

My only problem was the location, as I didn't have a car. With a car its no problem at all ! Plenty of parking space. But for a solo traveler, taxi can be pricey, it's something like $24 to go to town, and another 24 back.

Otherwise, when I come back to Charleston and I am driving I wont look any further. I loved everything about this hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for a couple nights while visiting Charleston. It was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. We have stayed at 5 star resorts that were not as clean not as nice as this one. We stayed in a King Suite which had a nice 2 person jacuzzi tub and the bed was the most comfortable bed ever. It was difficult to crawl out of it in the mornings. The room was large with an extremely large flat screen TV. This was also the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was included with our room which was a nice perk. Especially since it included everything from pancakes to grits. When we return to Charleston, we will definitely return to the Town & Country Inn & Suites. Amazing stay!

Room Tip: We stayed in a king suite the first night and then my husband upgraded to the nicest suite available...

Six months ago, I mentioned a few things that I believed could be improved upon at this wonderful hotel. Well, since then, every single thing I noted was addressed. The rooms now have luggage racks, are immaculately clean, and there has been some art hung in the hallways. And, as before, the front desk staff was helpful, our room really quiet, the pool glorious, and overall, our stay was fantastic. My husband hosted a conference here and all of the attendees were impressed with the hotel. In fact, they are planning on booking the place for the conference here again next year. Thanks, Erin - the pride you take in your family's hotel is evident everywhere.

Green Features: I wish more hotels would adopt this way of doing good business.

When our guests notice the little things we have made an effort to do to make their stay even more enjoyable it is especially appreciated. Thank you so very much for noticing and for taking the time to point it out. Since your stay, we have also expanded our breakfast buffet in Trotters Restaurant and added an abundance of new items, without raising the price, to provide our guests even more variety. Please come see us again, it was an honor to serve you!

Stayed here two nights (2/19/14 & 2/20/14) on a trip to explore Charleston. Very friendly welome at registration and when we got to our room the smoke alarm in the ceiling was chirping for a new battery. Called the desk and explained, and the clerk asked if we had unpacked yet (we hadn't). She said she wpould be right up with keys to another room. She came right up and was very apologetic.

The Contemporatry King Room was very modern and extremely comfortable. A real bargain for the rate that we paid. The design was unique and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Wonderful bed and spacious bath with tub and walk in shower.

We ate in Trotters Restaurant and were impressed by the quality AND the quantity of the food. The staff, especially Cathy and Anhony, made us feel like long-term regualr customers. Only one suggestion, the restaurant could use some new music as the 50's/60's tapes are repetitious.

Look forward to a future stay at this hotel.

We stayed here in late February 2013 during a work trip.
What was supposed to be a 1 day visit to Charleston from South Florida turned into a 3 day nightmare- the only saving grace of our trip was this hotel.

They took our last minute reservation with no problem.
At the time the facade was under renovation but it caused us no problems.
The bed was amazingly soft and warm. Whatever the down comforter is made of- it felt like a marshmallow cloud that lulled me to sleep.
After spending an entire day knee deep in below freezing water, in the rain, at the marina, going back to this hotel was heaven.

The shower is absolutely amazing. Fantastic water pressure and temperature- great soaps and shampoos. The shower is so big you could easily get 3 or 4 6'+ tall adults in there no problem. There is also a separate tub for a good soak

They have a Keuring coffee/tea machine in the room and lots of teas to choose from- if you ask nicely they have more at the front desk.

They were nice enough to let us park the boat we were delivering in the parking lot- never had any issues.
There is a great Waffle house a few minutes down the road, a Piggly Wiggly next door (only good for basic neccessities)
There is tons of shopping of all kinds within a few minutes driving distance.

The only negative is the restaurant in the hotel.
We were the only ones in there and the food took forever and was below mediocre and cold when it got to us.For the prices I was expecting better. I would take away a star for this but I don't think its fair. Ive never really had a good experience at a hotel restaurant.

Room Tip: The Contemporary King is great

Stayed here for a weekend valentine trip, could not have been more pleased with the stay, staff, rooms, location, everything was wonderful. Location was very central to everywhere we traveled, staff was helpful in helping me have a surprise in the room for my girlfriend the evening of valentines, also helpful in suggesting restaurants. Again this was a great choice and will definitely stay here from here on out.

This was hands down the best hotel that we stayed in on our trip to Charleston and Savannah. The place looked brand new. Rooms were spacious, attractive, and functional. Our room even had a large walk-in shower. We would have loved to have stayed longer but wanted to explore more areas. Highly recommend this place!
