My husband and I stayed her for three nights. We had first hoped to stay in downtown Charleston, but the prices were out of our budget. Then we found Town & County on Trip Advisor and it had good reviews. We were very pleased. It was only about 6 miles from downtown, and an easy drive. Our room was nice. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom was really nice. Everything was clean. Only negative was one of the lights over the vanity was out and it made it difficult to see to put on make-up. The staff was great. We forgot out laptop and the cleaning staff found it and we were called. Since we were already several hours away, they shipped it to us. Great customer service!

Unable to find appropriate weekend availability downtown, we selected the Town & Country, and had an immaculate large kitchen suite at approximately $240 w/tax. Comfortable bed, good desk space, safe, separate tub and shower; refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and a small table in kitchenette; ample free parking; guest laundry, decent WiFi. Hotel was 15 to 20 minutes from downtown where we had no trouble finding parking (weekend).

Staff welcoming and helpful. Inexpensive Sunday buffet breakfast with an omelet/crepe station. Cook was friendly and efficient. There were many locals at breakfast, and we were told by staff that some had been coming to "Trotters" for 20+ years. We didn't use the pool in an interior courtyard, but it looked clean and inviting.

Some issues: Had requested a quiet room, but were given a ground floor room next to an outside door. Saturday night wedding guests were extremely loud coming in from outside and lingering near our door until 1 or 1:30 a.m. When we asked about it the next morning, staff told us they finally had had to call the police to evict them! Staff wasn't particularly apologetic about our noisy night, however, which seemed odd. Also, the bathroom had a clunky, sliding pocket door when there was ample room for a hinged door. Noisy if someone got up during the night. Overall, however, the T & C was a good choice.

Room Tip: As far from the outside doors as possible.

Thanks for the compliments on our family owned and operated hotel. I regret that we did not earn a Five Star review but do please keep in mind that when non-hotel guests (people who were attending a wedding reception in our large ballroom) became too rowdy we immediately corrected it. I would hope that any establishment that experienced the same issue would be given due credit for handling it quickly and fully. Please consider us again if your travels bring you to the Charleston, SC area.

Great place. Close to all of the attractions and downtown. A surprise bargain. Very luxurious and accomodating staff. Didn't use the pool but it was clean with comfortable seating. You do need a car from this location but all of the sites for us were 10-15 minutes away or less.

A great summary of what you found appealing of our family owned and operated hotel. Our aim is to blow our guests away with value and a memorable experience for less than you would pay to do so elsewhere. I am glad to hear that we accomplished that with your stay. We look forward to seeing you again.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the Town & Country Inn and Suites and were so impressed that before we left we booked an additional night for our return trip to Charleston. The rooms were well-appointed, clean and the bathroom larger than expected. The breakfast served in the Trotters Restaurant was delicious and ample. The staff were warm and welcoming and a valuable source of information regarding Charleston and the sights to catch. As I said, we came back.

We spent the night after arriving in Charleston and before heading to Savannah for an event. The hotel is located along busy route 17 and is not far from the airport. There's a small selection of restaurants and fast food nearby, as well as a WalMart complex not far away. It's not far back to the airport or to historical Charleston.

The rooms are very nice and we heard very little noise, Beds very comfy, good blackout curtains. Very clean. The staff are gracious. We enjoyed our dinner at Trotters using the discount coupon.

Room Tip: We asked for rooms away from the main road.
