“Great Stay”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

I stayed here with family for a weekend getaway. We chose this hotel by pics and reviews from other travelers so the boarded up windows we saw when we pulled up were kind of alarming. When we got on the inside, it was very clear that whatever renovations that were still being done did not affect the inside of the hotel at all. We were pleasantly surprised when we went into our room. Nice king size bed, beautiful decor, Good size flat screen with cable and a Beautiful bathroom. The front desk staff was so very helpful as well as the staff in the dining area. When they saw us coming in they immediately started cleaning off a table for us to sit at. Even the housekeepers were pleasant. I will definately stay here again.

I am glad you had such a great stay with us and our construction did not hamper your stay while here. The windows of our additional story that was added are being installed and are boarded up during periods of inclement weather. Thanks again for your stay…. If there is anything I can do for you in the future please let me know.

I stayed here with family in mid-April 2013 for a family vacation. When we pulled up, we were a little concerned by the exterior, which actually had borded up windows. However, it was also clear that renovations were underway because of the scaffolding visible on the side of the building. Rest assured, that the renovations are mostly complete, and are currently concentrated on the meeting spaces inside the building. The whole time I was there I did not hear a single saw running or hammer pounding away, so the renovations are far removed from the guest rooms, which are great!

We stayed in a room with double beds, which were quite comfortable. The room was a good size, and there was plenty of space to spread out and do work if needed. Our room included a nice flat screen television, small microwave, mini-fridge and small keurig machine. There were a lot of channels available on the television - at least 120, which is just about as many as I have seen in any hotel I have been to.

Staff was very friendly, and housekeeping was very good as well. Our room featured a separate tub and walk-in shower, which was great!

The location is good so long as you realize that you will need to travel into Charleston and find parking, which is only a short distance away.

The pool area is somewhat small, but is very nicely appointed with lounge chairs and outdoor couches. Very nicely done! The pool goes from about 3 to 8 feet deep. We also utilized the on-site restaurant for the weekday breakfast buffet which was also quite good. I would definitely stay here if in the area again.

Thanks for pointing out the lengths we are going to in preventing any noise etc.. from interrupting our guests during our rebuild and renovation. I also appreciate your compliments on the guestrooms, staff, location, food, and courtyard area. If there is anything I can do for you in the future please let me know.

Arrived w/ a Fl. tour group Apr. 11. It was clean, very nicely appointed, and the staff was wonderful. Could not have been more pleased! They had prepared an evening snack table to greet our large group and it was just delicious. These people went out of their way to see that we had a pleasant experience. I would recommend this Inn to any traveler who appreciates quality and comfort.

We want to thank all the staff and management at

The Town and Country Inn and Suites for their helpfulness

and kindness to us after our recent stay.

We left behind our car insurance and ownership information

and with one phone call we felt relieved that they had found

it in our room . Not only did they agree to send it to our home

in Canada but they also were able to fax copies of the insurance

and ownership to us at another hotel in West Virginia where we

stopped on our journey home.

We want to thank everyone involved. We have shared this story with

family and friends and have highly recommended The Town and Country

Inn and Suites to all.

The Town and Country was truly our home away from home.

Of all the things I would want to hear in a review it is compliments on the staff which I take the most pride in. The reason is that how hotel’s staff performs is the one most true definition of how well management is doing in getting the point across that making guests happy is the most important priority. This review reinforces that our staff goes above and beyond and treats our guests like family. If there is anything I can do for you in the future please let me know.

Great stay. Has a lovely dining room which we had breakfast in every morning. Excellent food. We were given a $15.00 voucher to use at Trotters Rest. so it only cost $10.00 for breakfast for the 2 of us.. Got one for the 3 days we stayed there.
15 minutes to Charleston.
Great in room coffee.
Really felt pampered in this Inn.
I would go back.

We stayed 3 nights here while visiting Charleston and some friends. The rooms were great and ours overlooked the courtyard and pool. The pool is really cold, just to let you know. The breakfast at Trotters Restaurant is good but it is not complimentary and you have to pay for it. The location is not so great because it is near probably the largest interchange in the West Ashley area. Savannah Highway is such a busy road that it is hard to take a left turn on the road. Also, our room always seemed a little chilly. Other than that, our stay here was very enjoyable and comfortable. The beds are very cozy. I recommend this place if you are visiting the area and don't want to stay in downtown Charleston. The drive from downtown to the hotel is about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Definitely a great stay.

Room Tip: Our room on the second level was quite chilly even when we turned up the temperature a little bit...

Thanks for taking the tie to review our new hotel. We appreciate you pointing out how much you enjoyed the new guestrooms and the breakfast at Trotters Restaurant. I would like to point out a few items however. For guests who chose to book their stay directly through the hotel we provide a $15.00 Free Food and Beverage voucher per day of their stay which is a real and true value as we provide a real chef prepared breakfast of actual food in our popular on-site restaurant with servers, china, and silverware vs. a "free” powered egg and cold cereal breakfast one would find in other hotels of this price category. Also the distance to the city market in the heart of downtown Charleston is only 7-10 minutes straight down Highway 17 from the hotel as man y other guests have pointed out on Trip Advisor.

Newly renovated, beautifully appointed rooms. Beds were extremely comfortable and bathrooms were very spacious. Lovely pool and quiet rooms. Perfect for the traveler with or without the family. Construction on front facade did not affect the stay Well worth the price. Breakfast buffet was very good value.
